my AFT pebble, 18 months AFT female, used to come out and explore her hide. then recently she just stays in and sleeps all day and all night. is that normal? how often do you guys see your AFTs explore their enclosure?
i recently bought another AFT female 6months old because i think it might be a personality thing, one AFT might be more active than another. now im starting to think i should’ve gotten leopard gecko if i want to see them out of their hides more.
but i handled a leopard gecko at the expo but it really overstimulated me cos she was more flighty and restless not so slow moving. do you guys prefer leopard geckos or AFT ? anyone owning both that can give some insights?
Here’s an interesting question:
If you’ve owned an African fat-tailed gecko for a few months—or better yet, a few years—would you get one again?
Why or why not?
For those who have also kept leopard geckos or crested geckos:
are you still convinced that choosing an African fat-tailed gecko over them was the right move?
Yes or no—and why?
any advice on how to get my AFT gecko to take dubias? she actively hunted for them 2 weeks ago and now refused them for 3 feedings consecutively. i really can’t do crickets they give me nightmares
i recently bought a apple stick bridge, i’m worried it might not be suitable for my AFT gecko. what do you guys think? she loves climbing so i thought it would be good enrichment
