fyi: heaters/chillers cannot co-exist with a note on the same spot of the board, and if you try to get a note, it will actively delete your heater/chiller

was doing some fun stuff with the pie on dragons but wanted to test it out. I guess I can understand why they don't co-exist but it kind of sucks that it literally deletes your heater without telling you. same logic as enchantments I suppose

edit: you can also never get the heater back once removed, because now that you already have the heater skill, it won't be offered to you again upon level up

bread knife is way too much value for a small with 4s cd

I know the one in the pic is obsidian so obv it's extra beefy, but I have died against this item so much in the last few days. Jules does not exactly struggle to get mass amounts of regen and it just seems insane that she can do so much damage off 1 small item. on a FOUR second cooldown that also hastes, mind you!!!

the nature of the game is that builds are always fucked up on your last few days, but I don't like when one item is so unequivocally easy to build around and doesn't require you to make many sacrifices in how you organize your board (new wetware also has this issue)

how much experience do you need to have to get into UCLA's MLIS program?

hi everyone, I was considering applying to UCLA's MLIS program later this year, but I don't have any direct experience with librarianship, just general work in education.

I was wondering if anyone has any insight on how much experience is necessary to get in? I've been applying to a bunch of museum jobs, applying to volunteer at local libraries, and the people who run the volunteer programs are extremely hard to get a hold of. their program is my ideal program, but I'm worried about going through the whole stress of applying and not being a viable candidate to even start with. please do not caution about the $ of the program -- it's not a factor for me!

pierrot order hesitance: is it better to have loved and lost than never loved at all....

hi guys, i know many of us are browsing through pierrot perfumery's catalog since the recent news about their indefinite closing.

i've never ordered from them before, so my impulse response is to wanna check out some stuff before it goes away for maybe forever. however, i saw someone else mention the horrifying idea that they didn't want to order because what if they find their dream perfume, but never get to order it again??? the horror!!!

right now i'm mainly eyeing their twin peaks perfume bc it seems right up my alley. if i order a sample and love it, it could be gone forever when i want to FS it. if i blind FS it, i might hate it -- i have no idea how their formula will react to my skin, what their notes tend towards, etc. (e.g. how alkemia leans soapy for a lot of people) so i'm hesitant to buy a full size.

oh wise shopaholics of IMAM, what do i do!!!

S6E12 Waterworks has a really subtle, well-done costuming choice

I was rewatching this episode last night, and noticed right after Kim finishes the call with "Victor," and is called to go sing happy birthday with the office, almost everyone else is dressed in clothing with vertical language. Either it has vertical stripes, or it's a button down shirt, or it has creases/ruffles that point downward. But there Kim is in the background in her horizontal stripes, completely encapsulating how out of place she is in this kind of humdrum life. I didn't notice this at all the first time I watched and thought it would be worth pointing out, because I think it's a really well-done subtlety

how to exercise core and legs with NO feet involved

long story short, I injured my foot recently and am trying to stay off of it in the acute phase to help it heal, but obviously a lot of exercises involve your feet. how do I maintain activity in my core and lower extremities with no feet involved?

I mean literally no standing, no bending them for a plank, nothing. if feet are required to do the exercise at all, I am not doing it. I realize this is obviously a hard ask, but I just got back in the gym and don't want to lose my habits :( arms are obviously not that hard to do seated, but even a lot of cable stuff involves standing. legs obviously, will also be the hardest to find good substitutes for.

any recs for cardio type stuff to sweat and get that HR up will also be appreciated (no swimming or biking) thank you!

why do OCD spirals make it feel illegal to live your life at all

going thru an OCD spiral will have me feeling like it's illegal for me to do go through the motions of daily life at all!! like NO I can't enjoy cooking or playing a game, I need to SOLVE my OCD obsession! I'm currently going through an illness-related spiral right now, and I'm telling myself I shouldn't even go to the gym in case of a million what-ifs that I won't go into detail about. I can barely eat food right now because I'm so anxious ;(

it's so funny how the end result of so many OCD obsessions is "what if I die," and yet giving into OCD's compulsions and avoidances will essentially have you not living your life at all. avoid all risk, avoid doing anything that isn't "solving" your obsession, and it basically means you no longer have any real hobbies or joys in life. these spirals are so exhausting man 😭 I just want to live my life without worrying that every single action is going to kill/maim me

wink event gave me a perfect prestige 10 win :)

wink gave me the race carl and launch tower -- I made it work with flagship and was lucky enough to get a bunch of perks that kickstarted haste, making it so I killed everyone in about 5 seconds or less lmao. plus, I ended with perfect (actually, 26/20) prestige due to the event giving you 10

Masking @ the gym + drinking water

hi all, I recently returned to the gym last year, as it's pretty important for me to keep up my physical activity since being inactive has started to deteriorate my body and advance other health issues I have. I wear my flo mask, and while it's a little uncomfortable, I mostly forget about it and keep a good seal.

however, I'm not sure how to go about drinking water. I previously would just do the "hold breath and drink fast" method, but I'm pretty sure I got sick in march from this approach (and it's hard to perfectly hold your breath when you're already out of breath!)

I have previously installed a sip valve on a n95 aura okay, but I am not a big fan of auras since they're a bit gappy on my chin and the straps wear out really easily. I basically have to use body tape on the entire mask to get a solid seal, which seems like it would be a nightmare to have tape on my face while getting sweaty.

not drinking water is not an option for me, but what do I do!!!! I'm so eager to get back to the gym but I have no idea how to do it safely. what do you guys do??

augmentin dosage -- too high, or necessary?

hi all, been dealing with a uti for a little more than a month. my prev urinalysis showed Group B Strep which is rather uncommon -- the doc gave a 7 day course of macrobid, which helped, but my uti symptoms are slowly returning about a week after finishing. i went back to the doc and they're doing a reculture + prescribed a 7 day course of augmentin instead, since GBS is more susceptible to penicillin-related antibiotics

the only thing i'm worried about is the high dosage! i just checked my RX and i see it's an 875-125mg dosage of amoxicillin and clavulanate, which seems pretty high. would it be okay to call them and ask them to change it to 500mg?

i'm mainly curious about your guys' experiences with augmentin and what your dosing has been. i just have health anxiety and am more worried about the augmentin due to it being such a high dose of a broad spec antibiotic, compared to a more localized one like macrobid. i would hate to deal with one infection just to get another b/c my entire biome is destroyed

thank you!

is it possible to have a UTI + positive culture with NO leukocytes at all?

hi all, i've been having intermittent UTI symptoms for the last month with negative dipsticks. i got my urine culture back today and it said it was Group B Strep (GBS), which seems to be a relatively uncommon source of UTIs. i was prescribed 100mg nitrofurantoin, 2x a day, for 7 days.

the weird part is my urinalysis had NO leukocytes. none at all. none of the at-home dipstick tests had leuks either. from my understanding, leukocytes are from inflammation in the tract. it seems strange to me that i would have a positive culture and burning pain but no leukocytes at all. since GBS can live asymptomatically in the vagina, i'm wondering if the culture is just cross contamination from my vagina and i didn't get a good urine catch?

i've seen cases where people have positive leuk/nitrites but no culture, but couldn't find anything on reddit about a positive culture with no abnormal urinalysis results whatsoever.

p.s. is d-mannose helpful at all for GBS? i wanna start taking it but it seems like it's only helpful for e coli? i guess it's good to take as a preventative measure anyways, but just curious. thanks!

hi all, I was looking to buy some new filters for my flo mask, and found that they're actually having a sale. now, the last time I bought my filters, I don't believe there were ffp2 versions of anything, just the regular pro. my question now is, what exactly is the difference? I understand ffp2 cert is more of a thing in europe, but these are still being sold for US use. obviously the ffp2 filters are way cheaper, so I'd like to buy those if the difference is negligible, but I'm not sure.

if anyone could provide clarification on the difference between these things, it would be much appreciated! thank you.
