Bloating and gas are actually killing me rn

Girls. I am fighting. For. My. Life. Luteal phase has in fact started and I’m five days in according to lively (makes sense, I’ve been sensitive lmao) and today my uterus/lower abdomen is killing me omg. It’s like there’s gas or whatever it is trapped in the lower left side of my abdomen, like right above my bikini area and it HURTS. I ofc had to work today, and I felt okay at the beginning of my 8 hours, but once we hit like hour 4 1/2 everything just started giving me grief. I got in at 2, I was walking to the bathroom at like 6:50 and literally got this ripping bloat pain and ended up like limping the rest of the way to the restroom. It’s now 8:56 and I’m currently back in the bathroom like hunched over in pain. And I feel like I need to go but I’m NOT GOING 🥲. This has happened like … a couple of times before but the most recent was probably a year and some change ago and I was already on my period.

Idk had to let this out somewhere bc I can’t really explain this to anybody but it hurts and it’s so uncomfortable. I wanna cry and I wanna go home and eat my nice warm bowl of rice, but of course I’m the closing manager tonight and we don’t close until 10pm🫩.

Any hacks for easing this?? Or on getting myself to go to the mf bathroom bc I feel like that’s also part of it the problem?? Is it as simple as a heating pad when I get home?? I love being a woman but my goodness is ts hard sometimes.

Oooohhhhhmg how do I get comfortable with being bloated/dress for it?

Hiiii ladies. Fighting for my life again unfortunately 🥲 So I get nastily bloated when im luteal and when im on my period, like I actually try to avoid looking in the mirror for too long, its so bad and I feel like a whale. But all of my clothes are like cropped or tight or just... not flattering. I also dont wear a lot of high waisted pants, and even when I do, I fold the top over bc I feel like the high waist like... accentuates the bloating. And unfortunately I dont really have anything thats like "cute, casual, big t-shirt shorts moment" thats appropriate to wear as a day outfit. Like my outfits are either "cutesy, out on the town," formal/dressed up, or im a homeless blob (what I sleep in sometimes or chill around the house I feel gross). But I'm supposed to go see my boyfriend tomorrow, and I don't have to wear anything outrageously special, like I'm pretty sure I'm just going to his house to lay in his bed, but I fear I'll actually feel disgusting and look like I downed 6 gallons of pasta when I wake up tomorrow morning. I just dont think I know how to dress for bloating. I have one favorite shirt that hides it really well and is like... the only shirt I feel comfortable in when the bloat hits, but I feel like I am ALWAYS wearing this shirt (its my favorite) like I feel like its the shirt I wore the last time I saw him. but I just dont feel like having the mental breakdown about it in the morning and be staring at my closet with absolutely no hope or clue what to wear. Helpppppp pls 🥲

My Boyfriend is Such a Good Man and I'm So Lucky

I'm really just here to ramble because I feel like I talk about my boyfriend too much to everyone I know irl lmao. But I truly lucked out in the love department.

Me (22F) and my bf (21M) have been together for just about 2 years now and I cannot express enough how wonderful he is. We met when we were both still pretty young so watching him grow up into this amazing person has filled me with this insane amount of pride, and getting to grow up right alongside him has been the greatest joy I think I've ever experienced (lol my eyes are stinging now).

He has grown to be so gentle and patient and kind. Like this week for example. Im like... days away from my monthly, so ladies, you know im in hell week (luteal) right now, and on top of that I suffer from PMDD💔, and then on top of that, work has been stressing me OUT. So I can honestly say I've been... difficult this week. Mood swings out the wazoo, idk how many times I've cried this week- it's been a rough one (Mercury, pls get out of retrograde), and he has been nothing but kind to me. I actually started crying at one point because he's so nice to me lmao. But he's been so gentle with me and so patient. We don't see each other everyday because its a bit of a drive (but I'm seeing him tomorrow!!! and oh my gosh today could not go by slowerrrrr), but at any point I've needed it, he's offered me bounds of comfort and peace of mind, whereas anyone I've been with or known before him has never extended any of that my way.

But it's not even just now, when my hormones are on the fritz or when work is extremely difficult. We all have our ups and downs and low moments, but I've never had someone make every effort to show up everyday and truly care about me in the way that he does. Treat me as softly as he does. Even when he doesn't have the perfect answers or solutions, he tries. And no man has ever in my life made me feel worth the effort. But he does.

Sometimes I look at him in this kind of ...shock and awe. Because I always prayed that I could be blessed enough to love and be loved in such a manner but there are still some times I can't believe he's real. He's real, and he's here, and he's with me. I hold this true admiration and gratitude for this man each and every day, and I just don't think there are enough words in any language to express how much I love him, so here I find myself scrawling it out in a reddit post. Lol I'm supposed to be working right now, but thinking about him almost brought me to tears, so I figured I needed to let it out for a second. I truly do find myself to be the luckiest woman alive❤️

How do I get my boyfriend to understand PMDD?

Omg hi girlies. I feel like I’m in this subreddit every month (typically delete my post right after, love the mood swings, but I think I’m gonna keep this one up because I am struugglingggg this month).

So I (22F) am dating a wonderful man (21M) and we’ve been together for almost two years. So, I’m not gonna detail our whole relationship, but about two months back, we were having a really rough time for like a month. I was just extremely sensitive for whatever reason, but I did some therapy, chilled out, and we’ve been great for the last couple of months, like really feeling like us. But I’ve hit the dreaded luteal phase and this one is just filling me with such despair, anxiety, and anguish.

For the last few days I’ve felt like the most annoying thing in my bf’s life. I feel like every time I speak, text him, or get on the phone with him, I’m annoying him. Like I feel like he doesn’t really want to talk to me which I can totally call the PMDD talking. Like he hung out with me Friday, he was super tired and I was on a trip Saturday so we barely spoke fr until I was on the ride home where we texted a good bit, and then kind of the same thing Sunday, but I called him twice on Sunday and both times I just felt like he was extremely annoyed with me and didn’t really wanna talk to me. I asked him three times yesterday if he’s mad at me or if anything is wrong, and he said no each time, but he also hates answering the same thing over and over so every time he answered, he sounded more and more irritated and angry with me, which ended up having the opposite of the desired effect and made me worry more and feel more annoying.

I’m sure he’s trying his best, as he’s been really pretty kind today, but also I know I’m trying to dig for him to be soft and affectionate with me, rather than the usual “no, I’m not pissed off with you.” I think he doesn’t really grasp the intensity of PMDD and thinks it probably can’t be that bad or it’s just similar to what every woman goes through, but really it’s not. And I don’t blame him, he’s a man and doesn’t go through these things. Like when I say I’m feeling despair, I sat up and bawled my eyes out for like thirty minutes in the middle of the night and then didn’t sleep. Like I want him to understand the severity of the emotions and hormones and discomfort and cravings and everything running through my body right now, but I don’t know how. When he texted me this morning and asked me what was wrong, I told him to please Google PMDD but idk if he did because idk, maybe my stint of being overly emotional for that month has made him feel like the pre-period feelings are just an excuse or something I’m blowing out of proportion or idk.

Im not sure I want to just flat out say “yeah, I need you to be more affectionate and gentle and soft right now” because I don’t want to make him feel like he’s not enough or like any effort he’s been putting forward is unappreciated or unimportant. Even now, I feel disgustingly guilty for saying anything, even on here. But I just want him to understand because I feel like if he understood what PMDD is like, he’d get why I’m struggling the way I am, why I’m asking if he’s mad, why I need so much comfort and affection and gentility. The goal is not at all to make him feel bad or frustrated, but I feel like every time I try to explain this to him, that’s exactly what I do. Helppppp🥲

How Do I keep myself from getting bored?

Hi guys! I'd like to preface by saying this is *not* a complaint. Just a personal thing. I was going to ask in r/sims4 but they have some karma rules that don't allow me to post. Anyways! So I've noticed that when I play, I get *suuperrr* into the game for like, anywhere between 2 weeks to a 2 months-ish, and then I kind of fall off. I love creating sims and giving them makeovers (currently trying to makeover every townie in my game and then fix the houses), but when it comes to gameplay I find myself getting bored after a while. I think its because I have some control things going on, so I make a storyline for my sims and then kind of rush my way to it. Like for example, I have a storyline going for two single moms who had their babies at the same time and they're struggling with single parenting, however they become best friends with each other. The goal is have them both work, save up enough money to buy a small house together, and raise their daughters like sisters, except one mom flourishes while the other goes back to her bad habits. And I find myself 1) not wanting to play through the baby/infant/toddler stages lol (both girls are in infancy right now) and 2) wanting to skip sending them to work everyday and just give them the money because every day starts to feel redundant. How do I add some more excitement to my gameplay so that the days don't all feel exactly the same and I can have exciting stuff happen to all the sims I play (not just these two) in between them going to work?

Im sure a part of it is learning to just let stuff happen, because I will like... obsessively plan each move. Like pause my game before my sims do anything and decide what the next thing is going to be. I do have *a lot* of mods, I have MCCC (although not completely updated because I refuse to update my game lol), basemental..."substances" (important to the aforementioned storyline), life's drama, extreme violence, life's tragedies, wonderful whims, a few more I can't remember the names of, as well as the For Rent, City Living, Get to Work, High School Years, Seasons, Cats and Dogs, Strangerville, Vampires, Spa Day, Moschino, and Laundry Day DLC. Thanks so much for any help or advice! I just downloaded the game like... last November and I absolutely love it so much. I just want to keep everything exciting!

If I could tell my 17 year old self anything, I'd tell her to just be patient

This may be a teeny bit of a ramble but I'm just so over the moon right now. My (22F) whole life, I've always been a bit of a hopeless romantic, but I was just never lucky in love. At one point in my life, I figured maybe I'd just never find it. And then I met my boyfriend(21M). Unrelated, but I did the math and it's been 567 days since he and I first started texting. My God, he is the sweetest, most wonderful man I could ever have the blessing of meeting. He's kind and so patient and even though we differ in the way we show affection and our mannerisms, he is the first man in my life to ever truly make me feel loved. I can get a bit paranoid and difficult at times (a rough patch we're just starting to come out of) because after so many bad turns with people and relationships, I think, even subconsciously, I had convinced myself that I was unloveable. I wasn't sure why, I just didn't think it was possible. But he shows me day after day, through all of my flaws, all of my fears, that I am a lovable person. And that he loves me.

I mentioned my 17 year old self in the title because of a couple of things: I have some odd interests, I like almost everything strange and unusual and have been absolutely fascinated by liminal spaces and the backrooms and all the dreamcore/weirdcore stuff since I was a teenager. I remember trying so hard to find a movie specifically about liminal spaces and such when I was that age and I never found one. This was around the same time I was developing the belief that I could not be loved. Well today, my wonderful, amazing, sweetheart of a boyfriend took me to go see the movie. Its not really his thing, I'm sure he could find ways to find it cool and would listen to me talk about it, but its not the same level of absolute fascination. But he still took me to see it. In fact, he sent me the trailer on TikTok a few months back when he first saw it. I didn't have to ask him. I didn't have to drag him to the theater. He saw it and he knew it's something I'm interested in, and even though it's not his thing, he took me to go see it. He sat there, he got invested, he talked about it with me afterwards. And I think that, as he often does, he just healed something in me that was broken at 17. I know it's just a movie but somehow it really means more than that. Someone knows me enough to know that I'd want to go see it. Someone loves me enough to go see it with me, just to see the joy on my face.

So if I had to sit down with myself, 17 with tears in her eyes and trying to find a movie about one of her favorite subjects. If I had to sit down with my younger self and tell her anything? I'd wipe the tears from her face and tell her to just be patient. I'd tell her that yes, they're going to make a movie. But more importantly, I'd tell her that someone is going to love her enough to take her to go see it. I'd tell her someone is going to love her. And he's going to be the most wonderful man she'll ever meet. Just be patient♥️
