Minha primeira vez postado aqui (evito entrar em certos tópicos no Reddit, por conta do meu propósito pra uso profissional da plataforma).
Volta e meia o sub me é sugerido e eu sempre dou uma "sapeada" e, já que a proposta são debates, acho que aqui é um bom lugar pra eu ouvir pontos de vista bem elaborados.
Bom, ocorreu que eu estava scrollando o Instagram e me deparei com essa postagem. Eu sou um grande fã de "Super-Choque" e acho que a série tem alguns dos temas mais complexos, discutidos de forma até leve e cabíveis pelos moldes de uma animação infanto-juvenil.
Mas acho que é de consenso geral que o episódio "Jimmy" (creio eu que da primeira temporada) é uma das tramas mais tensas da série, se não de várias outras animações dessa era, se formos comparar.
Para os que não assistiram, consiste na história de um garoto que sofre bullying no colégio, e se vê encurralado por uma falta de rede de apoio. Virgil e Richie tentam uma aproximação, porém, acabam descobrindo que Jimmy esconde em seu quarto o revólver do pai (o que acaba repelindo os dois, dado a forma em que o garoto tratava a situação no seu particular).
Não demora muito e, após a dupla ler o conteúdo que o rapaz tinha em seu diário pessoal, eles correm contra o tempo para o colégio, onde Jimmy já está sob a posse do revólver. O resultado acaba sendo uma fatalidade.
Esse episódio sempre mexeu comigo pela forma como as coisas são abordadas. Há seriedade, pontualidade e contexto, além de uma clara mensagem de conscientização aos jovens sobre a questão do bullying e armamento civil nos Estados Unidos.
Pra além do que tudo isso representa, dois comentários me chamaram a atenção nesse post original, no qual aparentemente a interpretação me soou bem inusitada.
Será que, enquanto sociedade, atingimos o entendimento necessário sobre temas como bullying nas escolas? Quais medidas vocês já viram ser colocadas ante o enfrentamento do fenômeno, e quais formas vocês acham que o problema pode ser pensado e debatido?
