Used Model S plaid or new model Y performance?

I never owned any electric car, and I test drove the newer model Y with FSD.

I was pretty amazed by the experience and ordered a model Y performance.

I owned an RS3 and a Jeep Grand cherokee summit reserve which both are luxurious and very well made vehicules.

My jeep has massage seats, air suspension and an amazing sound system.

After the test drive, I felt a little bummed out because the of the luxury amenities I would lose in the model Y.

Yes its fast, but it is not as comfortable and the sound system is not as good as what I am used to.

Then I looked at the used model S plaid market.

They have air suspension, better sound system, 1000hp, FSD and are the same price as a brand new model Y.

Model S plaid or even a long range seems to be the better deal.

Am I missing something here?

Keep in mind that the only reason to switch for a tesla would be the FSD.

"Not required" doesn't mean "useless" — re-reading Google's AI search guide

Google just dropped its official guide on optimizing for AI search. Half of LinkedIn already concluded "structured data and llms.txt are dead". That's not what the text says.

On structured data, Google wrote: "it's a good idea to continue using it as part of your overall SEO strategy, as it helps with being eligible for rich results."

On llms.txt: "Google may discover, crawl, and index many kinds of files... this doesn't mean that the file is treated in a special way."

Your llms.txt is crawled and indexed like the rest of your site. No magic AI Overviews boost, that's all.

The rest of the guide, summarized:

  1. Do good SEO. AI Overviews run on the same ranking systems as Search (RAG + query fan-out).
  2. Write non-commodity content. Not another "7 Tips for First-Time Homebuyers". If an LLM can generate it in 2 seconds, it won't be cited.
  3. Keep a clean technical structure: indexability, crawlability, page experience.
  4. Local and ecommerce: Merchant Center and Google Business Profile.
  5. AI-generated content: meet quality standards, label images and products.

Keep doing structured data and llms.txt for the classic SEO reasons: rich results, CTR, clean indexation. All of that still works.

The "AI Overviews cheat code" was just a myth.
