Bread dad butter bread huge! Help

Following Bread dad recipe below and the loaf is huge and touches the glass. What am I doing wrong? Too much yeast? I’m using SAF instant and followed the recipe exactly but I do add chia. Could that be my problem? This is the second loaf that has gotten huge with the same recipe. I have a Cuisenart 2lb bread maker.

1 1/2 Cups – Milk (warm) – 345 milliliters
6 Tablespoons – Unsalted Butter (softened) – 86 grams
4 Cups – Bread Flour (not all purpose flour) – 480 grams
2 Tablespoons – White Granulated Sugar – 25 gramsYou can replace the white sugar with light brown sugar for a slightly richer taste.
1 1/2 Teaspoons – Salt – 9 grams
1 1/2 Teaspoons – Bread Machine Yeast (Instant Yeast) – 5.4 grams

Redemption!

I’m new to bread making and only got into after my son started eating solids.

My white bread recipe was right out of the booklet that came with my Cuisenart. It said I could use ADY so that’s what I was doing. Then I read on here I should bloom the yeast if using that kind.

Welp I think I killed it lol anyway I ended up getting SAF Instant and used the butter bread recipe from Bread Dad and omgomg this new loaf is dangerously delicious and buttery soft.

I did us AP flour though bc that’s what I can find organic from Costco and we use it for other stuff. Any advice on why that is not recommended? It turned out perfect for our needs but would love to learn more. Thanks everyone on here being kind and patient with us newbies!!

Help

Trying to perfect this veggie packed banana bread for my son. This batch turned out a bit more wet than I’d like. Any suggestions? I peel then grate the veggies right in since these are mostly dry. I added an extra 1/4 flour to the original recipe but it was still too dense and wet.

This is the recipe.

½ cup low-fat buttermilk or milk
½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature, cut into ½-inch pieces
3 large eggs, room temperature
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 bananas 175g
1 medium beet 107g
1 parsnip 62g
2 carrot 93g
¾ teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
¾ teaspoon baking powder
3 tablespoons chia seeds
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice or cinnamon

Chicco fit360 e

Trying to get comfortable with this new car seat so practicing in the living room as we graduate from his infant car seat. Is there supposed to be this much space near his torso? Does the shoulder strap placement look okay? Bib is pulled out from under the straps. Thanks!

Help

Baby now has a pincer grasp so solid starts says after nine months we can start moving down a size. I’m a bit nervous. I plated a few things from our dinner tonight but I want to ask before serving this to him. Should I change anything? He’s super interested in feeding himself with his new skill.

Diced chicken with a larger piece to gnaw, asparagus and some semolina noodles with some cream.

Im going to omit the asparagus it was a bit more woody then I’d like or am comfortable with.

Are these safe to feed to a 9 month old?

I haven’t bought them yet so I can’t show the scale of these but I was thinking of giving him the entire half pear. Would this be an age appropriate way to serve these? He didn’t start more baby lead weaning until closer to 7ish months. We still do half purées. Solid starts says half is recommended but I wasn’t sure if the canning process changes anything. 🙏

Evenflo 360 revolve slim

Baby just outgrew his infant car seat so we just upgraded to the evenflo 360 revolve slim but it pinches the top of his chunky thighs leaving them with deep red marks after only a 10 minute car ride home and he seems much more uncomfortable. I had it professionally installed by a police officer at the station who said it was adjusted correctly before we left and properly fit to the baby’s size. Anyone have any tips on making this more comfortable for him so his thighs aren’t pinched? I’d send photos but I don’t think it’s allowed. Thank you!

Tactical baby gear ads

Does anyone else keep getting these ads on instagram or facebook? The marketing is kind of scary and the fits are not safe. I’ve tried to comment on the ad but they just delete anything that is critical. The marketing is deceptive and I just hope with Father’s Day coming up people do their research.

I’ll try to summon automod safety but I’m not sure if I’m doing it correctly.
