Today I was in Square Ambriorix with my kids and I observed a lady with a bulldog in the grass. She had a behaviour of waiting around the dog, pretending to be on the phone not looking at the dog. I knew that kind of waiting...
The dog did his business in the grass and the lady wanted to leave. I started walking approaching her from afar, I said: hello can you please clean after your dog you cannot leave that pile of sh***t here.
She said something about a bag, turned the back on me, pulled the dog and off they were in less than 3 seconds. I stood there like a fool next to a pyramid of sh** disgusted and speechless.
What are our real world solutions in these situations? I am disgusted.
As per the title, I want to run through my entire collection and only touch the Year tag and the Genre or MP3 file. I am a bit lot in the settings and AI didn't help me either.
Can you please guide me with a step by step on how to ignore everything and only update: Year, Genre. Thanks
I would like to buy a car, I have a Belgian independent status (not planning to convert to a company yet)
Horizont wise I don't think I will an independent for more than 2 more years (max January 2029 when I will join an EU Institution and move to Brussels).
I have a budget of around 30k and I am looking into 2nd-hand PHEV.
I wanted to ask you if I buy something from Germany would that mean I will not pay the VAT? Just an example below this car will only cost ~29,000€? How does it work when buying from abroad?
I terms of fiscal optimisations buying a car in cash might not be the best, I know.
We recently moved on the first floor of a divided "maison de maitre", the ground floor neighbour owning the sous-plex and the garden has a dog.
I begin to say that I have nothing against pets, my parents had a dog when I was little long time ago.
My neighbour's dog barks all the time and it starts to get on our nerves. It started to obsess me and to lose my temper. Their door is always open so the dog is constantly in and out of the garden, running and barking. He can stay there for long minutes, barking at the birds, trees, I am not sure what it tries to communicate. He barks in the house as well we can hear him through our poorly isolated floor. I would say every 2 hours, 20minutes are continuous barking.
We tried to talk with the owner politely, he didn't want to continue the conversation he said:
> "oh, it's really a peaceful dog it rarely barks I am not sure what you want."
What are the rules with loud animals in a co-proprieté and how should I deal with this situation? I would like advices from dog owners as well.
I use the latest Nicotine+ and I have an issue finding music from the group "Overmono". I am sure there should be thousands of songs and remixes but I get 0 (zero) results.
Edit: I had no idea artists can request to be blocked. Thanks
My use cases would ideally be:
I was looking at:
Last night I nearly broke my neck and my bike while turning right on one of the streets near Ambriorix. I realized they installed these in other places around the park but all of them are in a street curve and painted in this color. What are these half-mellons doing on the street sitting 1m away from the sidewalk, I was close to getting seriously injured.
Edit: I agree I committed an infraction riding on that hashed area.
How did you land your position and how long was the process? Recommendations for aspiring candidates?
We are new here and want to buy in the Brussels region. Get a loan for 20 years, but we want to sell and leave earlier (after 13~15 years).
Our current rent: ~15,000 / year. After 15 years ± 230,000 costs.
We currently DCA into VWCE and we would continue to do so otherwise.
Numbers are approximate:
Can you help us understand, it looks like owning is not hugely better than renting w/ investing in this scenario of ours?
I would like to do some volunteering in Brussels and help people in need with my time and even small contributions in money when allowed.
I am sure many of you have experience with NGOs and volunteering.
I did a bit of research and on this subreddit there was not a lot of talking.
As a plus I just created an account on servethecity. Looks like a good place to start (not sure?!)
Give me your advice.
I'm not an expert but there is what seems to be a white domestic dove in the garden next to ours.
The dove has tags and does not do much from what I observed. Walks around and didn't fly once in the past 5 hours.
Should we do something or ignore the little fella?
Sorry this is an IT profile question but can apply to any profile. First time I try EU competitions.
I have a diploma in IT acquired in my home country after 4 years of University. In my DG I work as a backend developer writing mainly Java. I have around 10 years of experience for the backend and CMS. I am self-though and follow all the hype technologies since forever.
There are new competitions coming up next on: Cloud, Network even AI and Cybersecurity.
Although my current job does not mention strictly any of that, as a backend developer I have to touch on many subjects. The ICT world is so vast. My DG is very reluctant in using any AI, but in my free time I train local LLMs, I write MCP servers etc. I like to stay updated.

How can I apply to these competitions when my past and current job description does not mention word for word the EPSO requirements?
