Amazon Prime is a Joke

I probably shouldn't be a Prime Member anymore, but once upon a time Amazon was: cheap, convenient, and reliable.

For Prime shipping, they're supposed to guarantee a certain delivery window. But I keep having the experience where they delay items. I am a week out from some important, specific items I could not find elsewhere (rare for that to happen).

What other company can seem to boldly lie in your face about a product you've ALREADY paid for, offer a refund that they will mark against you over time, and act like they don't owe you anything?

Seriously, how has Amazon not gotten a class action or something? If I am paying for a product, I expect to get it. If I do not get it as described, that is false advertising. Then, I expect a remedy that goes beyond for my inconvenience.

How DARE I actually want the item? It's easy to pay for items (and get Buy Now, Pay Later) but increasingly difficult to ACTUALLY get the items.

New to this subreddit.

I’ve been decently addicted to Starbucks for years. It’s always everywhere and things there are generally tasty/homey. Even as I reduced going to protest, I couldn’t cut it out entirely.

But things have gone too far.

$7 is the expected rate for any coffee. $5-7 for food items that are snacks. And that’s where Starbucks has jumped the shark.

I’m refusing to pay more than $5 for coffee unless it’s premium. And certainly not for the other drinks they make!

It’s very insulting to think they’re charging over $5 for a tall! For something I’ll finish in 3 sips. It’s similar to throwing dollars into a burning fire.

I’d think if I’m feeling this, others must be too.

Tell me, when is the point you feel Starbucks has totally lost the plot? As a frequent customer, I think I’m here. I can’t justify the cost anymore. They’re not the only company I’m feeling that way about, but they’re the company I feel most taken advantage of.

PS I like the baristas always. And many managers. You all run this brand. Starbucks is nothing without you!

I have had no issues with Waveapps as an individual freelancer, but today the instant payout feature is not working. Why? Who knows, just because.

What a terrible joke. The company's support chat is only open for a few hours (8am - 1pm for me), their status page says they have too many payroll-related requests (from JUNE 2025!!!), and there is absolutely no solution. Hope I get my payout tomorrow. If I can't access the money I've made, there is no more relationship with Wave.

I'll be looking to switch after this.
