Adding furious charge and s4 made them much more playable. Ive enjoyed adding them to my lists to help my state troops block hold the middle. Or they run down the flank to bait the enemy into showing their flanks to some knights I have held back a bit.

But I'm not convinced theyve ever made their points back in the last 8ish games I've had. They're still t3 and need character or magic banners to really shine.

Playing hardest difficulty. Stuck on first boss (black legion). What's your go to units for blood angels? I like the flamer furiosos but the rest of the roster is too lackluster.

What are your go-to empire units?

I'm in a casual-ish escalation league and want to try new things.

So far I've been impressed with: great cannons, helblasters, veteran outriders, and giant death star of halberds with characters.

I've not had luck with knights, archers, or state missile troops (aside from camping on objectives).

What units should I try next? I suspect that Pegasus heroes and demigryph knights have some play. Also want to try road wardens. Anything else I should look at?
