Sense checking quotes for a battery, solar system for a family friend

Hi everyone,

I am helping a family neighbour evaluate a first set of solar and battery quotes. Their current peak daily usage is around 10 kWh/day. They are planning to install a heat pump in the future, but in the interim, they are considering running their house on ceramic core electric heaters instead of their existing LPG system.

Their budget is £12,000 – £15,000, so some higher quotes would require negotiation.
I’d love to get the community's thoughts on a few points:

Panels vs. Inverter/Battery: Research suggests that premium solar panels aren't always worth the price markup, and it is better to invest more into the inverter and battery system. What is the consensus on this?
Tesla Powerwall 3 vs. EcoFlow: I understand the Tesla Powerwall 3 is a solid system (despite my personal reservations about their CEO), but I haven't used EcoFlow products for home storage. How do they compare in real-world use?
Criteria: The key metrics we are weighing these quotes against are Value for Money and Ease of Use (almost set and forget).

Any advice on these system options or the heating approach would be greatly appreciated!

Arc not working in full screen

Hey Arcers,

Has anyone else noticed since a recent update that when you put Arc into full screen mode on Mac the window is just blank, then when you minimise the screen you need to adjust it for contents to re display?

Joining Helldivers 2 in 2026

I am thinking to get HD2 this summer I was watching the game from a far. It wasn't able to o purchase it. But I remember at the time I felt like I was missing out on this moment.

I am now able to pick the game up but it has been out for a while. Is it worth jumping in this year?

I would be looking to play casually a few times a week around other commitments.

Also if the recommendation is yes any tips for getting started? Any gear or war bonds etc to focus on?

I just received my I5 today and just getting used to the car.

I am sure I saw online in videos and on spec sheets the car comes with a Digital Centre Mirror (DCM). However mine just seems to be a standard glass mirror.

Can other Namsam owners confirm? I saw online there is meant be a toggle or switch at the bottom of the mirror but mine doesn't have it.
