Anyone ever relocate to phoenixville from California?

My partner and I are from PA (not PHX), but have lived the last decade in Southern California. It’s been amazing but we now have an 8 month old and are missing the grandparents. We also feel like we’d get a nicer home if we moved back to the greater Philly area.

We really like phoenixville and feel it’d be a nice place to raise her. Has anyone else relocated? If so, any thoughts or regrets?

Postpartum Friendships

I feel you see a lot about moms complaining that their (usually childless) friends ditch them after becoming a mom.

And yeah I feel that to an extent, but on the flip side I feel I have a lot of (childless) friends asking to hang out frequently. I know I should be honest and say I just don't have the energy or the time or even the extra money to hang out. I just feel guilty, like how do you say please leave me alone but also don't stop being my friend.

I feel so stretched thin and have a girlfriend that wants to get brunch every other weekend. She is fine with me bringing the baby but I don't even feel like doing that. I met a few other friends the other week for an early dinner and brought the baby (I am still nursing) and she fussed the whole time and my friends looked a little lowkey horrified.

I know connection is important but I just am not feeling it. I just want to stay home with my baby and husband, or go out with my baby and husband.

I don't really have any mom friends, maybe I'd feel different if I could relate better.

Anyone else feel this way? Maybe I am crazy.
