10 V: Review after 3 years
Hi everyone. Thought I'd put down some thoughts on the 10 V after using it for 3 years.
The phone has been super reliable, and I have been using it caseless for the past 2 years.
The polycarbonate rear reminds me of my Windows Phone Lumia 920 days, and it is honestly quite reassuring that I don't have to baby this phone.
The battery on this thing is next-level. I simply can't kill it and get 2 days easily on heavy usage. I don't play games, so maybe that does help.
The 3 cameras continue to work well, and it is possible to get reasonable pics out of it. I've posted some in the Taken with Xperia sub in Reddit.
I'm not one to baby my phone, so this thing has sustained scratches on the screen etc.
Other than that, everything still works well. The addition of the 3.5mm jack is a real Godsend, as well as the MicroSD slot, as is the dual nano SIM support.
I must say that this Xperia 10 is very tough - I use it in all weather conditions and don't treat it as I would a more fragile glass-backed phone.
As it does not have AOD support, I purchased the AOD Notify app, and it works superbly.
The CPU is showing its age, especially with Android 15 on it. I just have to be patient with this thing. Haptics remain weak - they are inferior to those employed on the higher end Xperia 1, iPhone & Pixel devices.
I do enjoy the tall & narrow form factor, and it makes it easy to hold and use the phone. Just have to be mindful of the narrow screen and keyboard.
Hope this helps, and hope you enjoyed reading it!
