Are two owner duplexes common?

I have been watching Holmes on Homes. I know his reputation. He seems about the same a Bob Villa in the states. Decades before was a decent contractor now is a TV personality.

But anyway there seem to be several episodes where people own 1/2 a house and some random person owns the other half. In the States I have never heard of anyone owning 1/2 a duplex. One person owns it and they rent half and live in half or they rent out both halves.

We Currently have two 14” Jonsered saws that my dad uses. He struggles to get them started. He is asking about getting an electric saw.

I Looking at getting the DCCS670 for him . It comes with a 16” .043 bar. Would there be any issue with swapping out for a 14” .050 bar. That way it’s the same chain and bar as we already have.

I Wondering if the 2” shorter bar would make up for the chain not being a narrow kerf?

Edit: I have no continuity from top of main breaker to bottom of main breaker. But shows continuity from generator lug to power company lug.

Currently don’t have power trying to fix generator hook up.

Power comes from the meter directly into top of the Generac Breaker. I tested it and it has continuity running through the breaker in on and off position. Does that sound correct?

What stops this from back feeding the line? I tested with the breaker on and off and the service disconnect on and off. So all 4 choices and it still tests that there is a connection.

Generac generator lost oil pressure. While the power was out I unhooked the generator. I also unhooked the small wires that are marked 240v load sense and 12v.

Now I am wanting to wire in a portable temporarily.

If I hook up the Two generator lines, the neutral, and the ground. Then I should be able to use the automatic transfer switch as a manual switch correct?

Or do I need to unhook more wires out of the transfer switch?
