A new app called Vapor is trying to put actual PC and Mac games on iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV. Not a stream. Not a cloud box. The game running on the device. Developer Stephen announced it on September 12 and then dropped a full GTA V benchmark on an iPhone 18 Pro Max this weekend.

Sword dropped a new PCSX2 port for jailbroken PS5 this week and named it PS5SX2. It is not Sony’s official PS2 Classic wrapper. It is the PC emulator running on the console, Vulkan renderer and all, with testers already pushing some titles to 4K60 and widescreen. Classic PS2 games on a jailbroken PS5, upscaled, and not locked.

PS5 backup games are lining up for 13.xx jailbreak. Public kernel still stops at 12.70, but soon a new jailbreak will be released for Firmware 13.60 and below. Version 14.00 is out. Stay off it. With a jailbreak you can make a backup of your games and play them without a disk or risk that Sony will remove the game from the PS Store.

YouTube's iOS app now lists iOS and iPadOS 17.0 as the minimum version. The current App Store build, 21.34.3, will not install on phones and tablets still running iOS 16. That cuts off official updates for iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X, plus older iPads that never received iPadOS 17.

ipatool 2.4.0 is out. Majd Alfhaily shipped the release late Friday after Apple’s App Store login endpoints started rejecting the tool with HTTP 403 and empty bodies. The new build signs Store requests with SAP instead of leaning on the older native and legacy authenticate paths.
