Normally, starting an iPhone Mirroring session locks the physical device into a restricted state while control shifts to the Mac.

Apple’s iOS 26.5 Release Candidate build 23F75 ships with one of the largest low-level cleanup seen in a recent iOS point release.
Compared to the earlier 26.5 beta 4, the RC removes hundreds of kernel functions and strings, deletes an entire encrypted archive kernel extension, and quietly reshapes several debugging and telemetry systems.
