Having been a Helite Turtle airbag vest owner for about 9 years now, I've decided it's time for a replacement. I was all set to buy a Turtle 2 (I'm sold on another tethered system) until I read the excellent Bennetts review, and now I'm very interested in a Motoairbag M4 or M1, mainly due to its massively better coverage of the torso (chest and sides).

However, I fully understand that the direct result of the better coverage is greatly reduced airflow to the torso, and therein lies my problem. A large proportion of my annual mileage tends to be on tours to southern Europe (ie with temperature well into the 30s) and I'm concerned it may be simply too much, even with my mesh riding suit. In other words, although the Motoairbag might protect me better that the Helite in an accident, it might actually make me more likely to _have_ an accident due to the extreme discomfort and overheating.

Anybody have experience of the Motoairbag in high temperatures? Would appreciate any input.

I’ve always struggled with this! If someone says to me (about my adult children) “Your daughter is so pretty”, or “your son is such a good guy”, what is the correct response? Do I say something like “yes, aren’t they?”, or do I instead thank them?

The compliment isn’t being paid to me, which is why I feel thanks is the wrong, and possibly weird, response. Or am I overthinking?
