Hi, I am a new international transfer student for the upcoming Fall 2026 semester in the Mechanical Engineering Department. I got placed into a Writing and Math Placement Exam. I am not from here, so I'm a little bit confused about it.

What is a Placement Exam?

What do I have to study for the exams(both Math and Writing)?

What will it determine?

Apparently, the placement exam is for WRT 102. Also, my advisor told me they gave me credits for Calc A and Calc B, but I didn't do Calc C. What is Calc A, B, and C? And because I didn't do Calc C, I have to take the exam and score at least a 9. Can anyone explain all of this? It seems confusing and overwhelming to me. Thanks in advance.

Good Afternoon everyone, I recently passed and went through the process and paperwork of NYPD PCT. All that is left is the Psychological Written exam and Viva and an Appointment with My investigator. The next class is on June 17. I got an appointment for the psych exam on the 5th. I just got accepted to an Engineering School and i want to pursue that. Just incase anything happens I still want this position as a backup career option. But I cant join this class. On the Psychological Written exam Email it says if i fail to appear i will be banned for 1 year.

How can I hold my process and potentially join other classes in future. Thanks in advance I really need this.
