Visiting noble hurts Merlin?

Hi all!

Looking for recommendations of fics where a noble hurts Merlin and Arthur eventually finds out. Doesn’t necessarily have to be merthur. Preferably over 7k words, the longer the better :) bonus points if it’s set when Arthur is king. thanks!

fics where arthur hurts merlin while he’s under a spell?

Hi all! I’m looking for something like Unbreakable (linked), where Arthur hits or otherwise hurts Merlin (emotional hurt counts) while he’s under a spell. Open to other knights doing that as well, like in Lamia. If you have any recommendations like this I’d love to read them! Thanks in advance :)

Tickets with a gift box on them?

I noticed while trying to buy tickets for a show that some really great seats were actually cheaper than those behind them, but the icon was blue with a gift box on it. It says that a free drink will come with the seat. This feels a bit too good to be true, would I have to make an extra donation or something? Why would they give a complementary drink to only the first few rows, which are even cheaper than the middle of the stalls?

Do you think it’s wise to be a SMBC at 25?

Hi all,

I’m 19 and decided on my own a few years ago that I’d much rather get a sperm donor and raise children alone than have a partner. I’m pretty sure I’m aromantic but want to have kids. When I first thought about this as a concept it felt so freeing, and seeing that there’s a community of people out there who have the same idea is wonderful. I really want 2 kids starting between ages 25-28, depending on my financial situation. I know it depends on the person you are and what kind of life you lead, but in general do you think it’s wise to be a single mom that early? What do you wish you knew about single motherhood before starting your journey?

Edit: I’m in nursing school rn and plan to be a nurse practitioner. I feel like that’s a pretty safe career path and will allow me to find a well-paying job anywhere in the country, but the 12 hr shifts might make daycare tough (however it is only 3 shifts/week).

Thanks!

For some reason my post keeps getting removed by the lyndhurst facebook page, but there’s been a brown dog, very skinny, walking through backyards lately. I think this is the same dog as last year, which really concerns me. I try to feed it but it’s very skittish and runs away. I believe it still has a collar, but I can never get close enough to see a tag. I see it around Thornbury, Spencer, and Irene a lot. It is light brown, medium-sized, looks kind of like the attached pictures (I haven’t been able to get a picture due to the aforementioned skittishness). Is this anyone’s dog? Should I try harder to catch it or is it just a frequent runaway? If anyone has tips for how to get the dog to trust me enough to get close that would also be great.

Hello everyone!

I am interested in books that are ORIGINALLY in Spanish (no translations please). I have an intermediate understanding of the language; I took AP and Post-AP Spanish for reference to anyone in the US, but that was a few years ago. I am actually Spanish but my mom never spoke it to me at home so I had to learn in school.

If anyone has some favorite books that are on the easier side, I’d love to take recommendations! I love magical realism and fantasy, and I’m also a nursing student so if anyone has books that are set in healthcare that would also be great so I can learn some medical terms.

I technically read Don Quijote in school but it required a lot of explanation. I’m aiming to eventually read Gabriel Garcia Márquez and Isabelle Allende, so maybe something a bit easier than that. Like maybe a YA novel or smth. Anything is appreciated!

Hello! Alice in Alice By Heart is my dream role, and while I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about her character and the show itself, I’ve always had a hard time thinking of a song I could use to audition with. My uni is doing it next year and I’m super excited.

I don’t think songs from Spring Awakening fit that well, at least for Alice. Does anyone have song recs for auditioning for either Alice or the Cheshire Cat? If anyone knows of a good monologue too that would be great. Thanks in advance!
