Slow growth

I planted a few pepper chili plants and 1 eggplant in May in my raised bed, topped with new compost.

It's July and this is what they look like.

Is there any hope? What am I doing wrong?

Recommendation to buy in USD

I'd like to share trail camera photos here, but I need a camera for that.

Can you share your favorite trail camera ?

I'm looking to buy one, but I'm not sure where to start. I wanted the least expensive model that would give a reasonably good image, outdoor, not on wifi (because my wifi is already overloaded), rechargeable (solar or power).

Are these ridiculous requirements?

I just want to see what's eating my plants. Since I need 3 of these, I'd like something in the Usd 25-30 range.

I can find some on Amazon etc., but I wanted to hear from current users about what they own and like.

Leaking outdoor spigot /hose bib

Both spigots in my house leak water like this when in use. Does anyone know why or what I can do to fix this? I tried switching out the hose, but the leak remains, in varying degrees.as a result, the ground under this is always muddy.

Two Chandeliers near to each other

Just moved into an open concept house where the foyer and family room share a common ceiling . The foyer area has a chandelier but I'd like to add a new chandelier to the family room.

Will it look crazy busy to have 2 chandeliers in the same shared space? The foyer chandelier is off center (closer to the door) and the family room chandelier will be centered to the family room area, so they won't be symmetrical.

Or, alternatively, I can remove the existing chandelier from the foyer area, and add some wall sconces or table lamp to the foyer table.

I'd like some insights into what would look better - 2 chandeliers close to each other , but not in a straight line , or just 1 chandelier for this space?

Rainwater drainage in a sloped yard that's fenced

I have a fenced backyard and I'm facing several problems in this sloped yard. The back fence runs perpendicular to the slope.

Even though it's not very visible, the yard is sloped towards the woods in the back, as seen by the rainwater runoff channel in the second photo. On the other side of the fence, this runoff has washed away parts of the slope (first pic).

I'd like some pointers on how to manage the rainwater issue. As you can see in the 2nd picture, I tried adding some small river rocks to help with erosion, but the rainwater started moving from that original path and has now carved out a different route. I'm sure I messed up with the rock placement and somehow blocked the path.

Is laying a dry creek bed with smaller stones a better option?

Also, planting along the fence is becoming hard because of the slope. Even if I build a raised garden bed , the rain water still struggles to run around it, and I'm worried that I'll face more erosion issues. We are planning to have the lawn aerated and resodded in some places. Once that is done, I'd like to plant along the fence, but I'm lost on how to handle this erosion.

Hiring professional help is not a possibility, but I'm ready to do some manual labor, so I'm looking for any and all diy tips.

What is everyone else doing in this case ? Please share any ideas on how to plant along a fence in a sloped yard .

Is this poison ivy?

I asked Google lens twice and got a yes once and a no later. So, now I'm not sure. The stem looked woody, not hairy. Any guesses?

Bamboo

Are bamboo plants truly invasive and therefore dangerous? One of my neighbors is growing bamboo plants in the woods at the end of our street. Is this OK or should we ask them to take any kind of care to restrict its growth? Any ideas? I'm super non-confrontational and would rather let people live their lives. But I also native plants and eco-everything . So, I would like some help understanding the seriousness of this (if any).

Gift for new grad

What are some brands and models that'd appeal to youngsters nowadays? My criteria: Budget < $1000, Good swiss affordable luxury brand. Because that's a substantial amount for me, I won't be buying any right away. But, I want to narrow down to 2 or 3 models and brands before asking for her option,

These are my current selections, but I'm not sure if these are too old style (millennial style).

If there's any negative points for either of these, please share.

Also, I'm looking forward to some better recommendations that you'd like to share.

I couldn't upload images , sorry about that

She leans towards looks alone, but I'm also worried about longevity because this'll be my first big gift to her.

Is quartz better because it's more hands-free ( no need to set date, time etc).

She already told me she'd like a watch to go with her workwear( professional setting, desk job)

Cross posting here for traction.
