Mobile app developers, what are you building?

Hey r/launchigniter

I want to discover what other mobile app developers are building.

If you’re an indie developer or part of a small team, share your app below 👇

  • What does your app do?
  • What problem does it solve?
  • iOS, Android, or both?
  • Link to your app

I’ll check out as many as I can.

Let’s discover some underrated apps, give each other feedback, and support fellow developers

I almost gave up on this tiny SaaS

https://preview.redd.it/yykirbh914jh1.jpg?width=1904&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=963da2250f1821640b5adf94cda2861292cd6e42

2 years.

thats how long it took me to reach $50 MRR

but believe me, there were many times when I used to think

"Maybe I should just shut this down"

i built, i launched on many platforms, i kept making tiny improvements, i posted about it but nothing happened

then 9 days ago i posted my story on reddit

"My tiny tool just hit $50 MRR after 2 years"

today, its at #8 on TrustMRR's Top 20 fastest growing startups and reached 140$ MRR

thats crazy feeling

sometimes you keep working on something and no body cares

and then one little thing (miracle) happens

and everyone starts to take notice

mine was one Reddit post.

for background, AppPage is essentially Link-in-Bio, but for apps – one link for your app that works on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc., and includes built-in analytics to understand where your clicks/visits are really coming from.

still tiny, still building, lets see where it goes

It’s the weekend - show us what you’re building!

Hey r/launchigniter

Weekend is the ideal opportunity to break free from the confines of the 9–5 grind and start working on those side projects, crazy ideas, and product concepts that you've had lying around for some time.

Therefore, let’s turn this into a weekend side-project thread 👇

Share with us your project:

🛠️ What are you building?

🚦 What stage is it currently at? (Idea / MVP / Beta / Launched / Growing)

👥 Are you working on it solo or as part of a team?

🔗 Please include any links you have.

You never know who will end up being your first customer/user or inspire you through their feedback.

Instagram just started blocking App store links in bio. And Here is the fix

Instagram's in-app browser on iPhone stopped opening App Store links.

Someone taps your bio link, and instead of your listing they get a blank white page. No error, no message, nothing to tell them what went wrong or what to do next. Most of them assume the app does not exist and go back to scrolling.

https://preview.redd.it/o6naklz2yxgh1.png?width=1282&format=png&auto=webp&s=db7e7def89d5970b5919aecdb9c74abf18a425d3

This is not something you configured wrong. Developers confirmed it on the [Apple Developer Forums](https://developer.apple.com/forums/thread/840249) after testing bare App Store URLs and competitors' links with the same result, and it lines up with Instagram's most recent app update.

If your audience is mostly iPhone, and for most consumer apps the iPhone half is the half that pays, this is costing you installs on every post you publish.

Use one smart link instead of a store link.

apppa.ge sits between your bio and the stores. When someone taps it, it works out what they are holding and sends them somewhere that actually works:

- iPhone in a normal browser goes straight to the App Store, instantly.
- iPhone inside Instagram, Threads, Facebook or Messenger gets handed out to Safari, so the App Store opens properly. If Instagram blocks even that, they get a clear screen telling them to tap the three dots and open in their browser, instead of a blank page telling them nothing.
- Android goes straight to Google Play, untouched, with the install referrer intact.
- Laptop or desktop goes to your website or landing page, since they cannot install a phone app anyway.

Setting it up takes about five minutes

  1. Paste your App Store and Play Store URLs. If you are only on one store, that is fine.
  2. Get your link, in the form `apppa.ge/yourapp`, plus a QR code that points at the same place.
  3. Replace the link in every bio: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Threads, Facebook, your email signature, your press kit.
  4. DM yourself the new link and tap it from an iPhone. That is the test that proves it.

When Instagram changes something again, and it will, we update the service. Your links keep working and you republish nothing.

distribution is the only moat left

You can build an amazing product, but if no one ever finds out about it, it doesn’t matter.

Which is why I built LaunchIgniter.

It’s a simple platform where independent creators can launch their products, get discovered worldwide, get SEO backlinks, and create long-term visibility that goes beyond the day you launch.

I’m trying to make the job of distributing a bit easier for creators who would prefer to ship than seek attention.

Built DeepCleanMac – a native Mac cleaner and app uninstaller. Looking for feedback

Hey everyone,

I built DeepCleanMac, a native macOS app that helps clean caches, logs, temporary files, app leftovers, duplicate files, and more.

A lot of Mac cleaners felt too bloated or bundled features I never used, so I wanted something focused on cleanup and app management.

Current features:

  • Clean caches, logs, temp files, and app leftovers
  • Complete app uninstaller
  • Reset apps without reinstalling
  • Duplicate file finder
  • Disk space analyzer
  • App updater (App Store + Homebrew + Sparkle)
  • Secure file shredder
  • System health dashboard

Supports Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
