Randomly today I remembered this series after a decade and was like oh that third book must be out. I go look and nope. I remember 10+ years ago he was making bullshit excuses about his family or whatever. Maybe it’s time to admit he’s not a good author and he just got lucky with the first two books? It doesn’t make the books bad, it just means he can not reproduce his luck and make the third book any good because he sucks as an author. He’s the renaissance fair know it all book nerd who thinks he’s actually good and now he can’t produce when he needs to. 10+ years and nothing…at this point I’d guess it never releases or it’s going to make the shitty game of thrones ending look like the best ending of all time.

I guess it’s like this….you’ve got companies that dig for oil and have entire processes and plans, etc. to find oil. Then you have someone who gets lucky and finds oil in their backyard. It’s still oil and it’s still valuable even though it’s a lucky find, but expecting that lucky person to just go stumble on another load of oil is incredibly unlikely.

So what is everyone's favorite shirt to handle tons of sweat from running on the treadmill? I sweat so much I really like to stick to dark colors. Any favorites from Tracksmith? Or any other brands? I normally use rhone atmosphere shirts and they are amazing. I have an old strata tee, twilight tee, and a current van cortland tee. My strata tee has basically disintegrated (it's got these weird patches where the fabric or coating has rubbed off)....it's just been really beat up.

So the whole Carmy walks away thing...am I wrong:

We have basically four seasons of him building something and then he just walks away with nothing in the fifth. His pattern is to run from family and not face problems and his lack of feeling like he deserves happiness/success or whatever. The way it ends it's basically him completing the pattern, not breaking it. He gives away ownership, he gives Richie encouragement, gives Ebraheim the go ahead (which also made no sense as he had no control), and has an unresolved interview...that is him giving, never receiving. It doesn't seem like someone who's healed, it's a guy who still running from his family who's found some new form of the same self erasure, but the show is selling it as a peaceful ending? A peaceful, break the pattern ending would be him having some ownership and embracing success with his family and facing problems with that family without running.

So I found the bring a friend bar code for the season pass. If I want to use both of them tomorrow do I just go to the park and they scan it twice and me and two friends get in? Is there anything else I need to do first? Is there a way to add the food pass to those tickets for an extra cost? Sorry for the questions…I feel stupid asking them.

Can someone explain how it works at the park if I get this? Do I just go to a drink stand and ask for whatever and they give it to me? I feel stupid even asking this. I see there is a souvenir bottle version which I assume means I'd need to carry that thing around if I want to get a drink. I just want to easily get a drink when I'm at the park (six flags great America) without carrying anything around.

I’m going to Six Flags Great America next month and had a question on buying the pass/friends/free parking. If I buy the prestige pass today, can I then get the two bring a friend passes for the date I want to go and then also buy one more pass at a discounted rate? I can do all of it from home and then show up to the park and walk in? There are four of us in total going. Also how does parking work for it to be free? I’m asking because I see mentions of needing to register your pass at your home park and I want the whole process to be smooth for the day we all go. Thanks in advance.

I got a UDM SE and I plugged it in in the United States and I can’t believe it, but it actually connected. Amazingly I’m on the internet with the device they said would connect me to the internet. Now with regards to the size, online it says it’s 1U, but let me tell you, when you see it in person, it’s actually 1U in size like they said, but it seems smaller, unless you stand close, then it seems larger. This thing draws power from the electrical grid at lots of watts. LOTS. However, not as many watts as I was expecting, so it’s awesome. What is the crazy part is it has some 10GB ports and unlike other 10GB ports, they actually are 10GB.

So I watched season 1 last year and it was good. I just started season 2 and have only made it through episode 1. It is probably some of the worst acting and dialogue I’ve ever seen in an Apple TV show. It’s almost shocking at how bad it is and I skipped some scenes because it was so terrible. My question is…does it get better as season two goes on?
