LA JAZZ VENUES?

I’m heading to Los Angeles for the first time next month. I feel like I’m only familiar with venues that were made famous years ago, including Enfield Tennis Academy now. I’m looking for the contemporary spots. Where should I look for music while I’m in LA next month?

Parents Doing It Up at Rosie’s

Host Inn or Camelot?

My folks are heading to Richmond this weekend to drop some coin at Rosie’s and enjoy the big city. It looks like there are two hotels next door. Host Inn and Camelot.

Is one better than the other? Gym, pool, hot tub really aren’t a factor. Does one have a better view than the other?

It looks like the tv station is a block away. I’m assuming they could stand out front and meet Kirk or Andrew during the morning show?

I want to make sure they have a great time in the city!

STUVA DESK

My kid has decided that he is outgrown his STUVA Loft bed. We have given it to another family and kept the desk. Does anyone know what parts I need to add legs or another shelving cabinet to the side that used to connect to the wardrobe section of the STUVA Loft bed?

It’s just better.

Say what you want about your energy bill being higher than last year (last year was lower than this year btw and no one seems to wants to admit it^1).

Our electricity is just better! Dominion has quietly just significantly upgraded. My tv turns on faster. My AC is much louder. My fridge is constantly cold. My wife even noticed the lightbulbs are giving off a more pleasant light.

“Hey babe, is it just me or is this new and improved electricity giving the lightbulbs a more pleasant light?”

“Yeah babe. Everything is better with this new and improved electricity. I can hear things on this Hotel X cd that I had never heard before. I definitely wouldn’t mind paying more!”

I would totally be willing to pay more for this major upgrade. They should add a place online where I can tip them.

10% 15% 20% 25%

^1 Also, if your energy bill is higher than last year, why is it that no one has the receipts. Show the math!
