In need of some hope and positivity as I have been so depressed and can’t take it anymore…

Anyone on this combo? Gaining weight with antipsychotics just seeing others experience on this…

How long did it take for you to notice positive changes after ECT?

Last summer (2025) I was hospitalized for SI for two weeks. Got discharged and was on Abilify. I felt so great I maxed out my credit cards, impulsively got 3 tattoos and also wanted to start a new business and bought new laptop and a very expensive app. In the fall I got diagnosed with PMDD as I noticed my mood was very low. January ‘26 felt really great and bought a new luxury SUV even though my current car was fine. Akathisia was really bothering me at this point so I was weaned off it. March I hit rock bottom and was hospitalized for 2 months for depression and SI. I should have mentioned all of this while in the hospital but I was in such a low state I wasn’t able to. I have a follow up my psychiatrist in a couple of weeks….

Any nurses w bipolar? Suggestions with how to cope?

How long did it take for you to find the right meds for bipolar?
