How long did it take for you to notice positive changes after ECT?

Last summer (2025) I was hospitalized for SI for two weeks. Got discharged and was on Abilify. I felt so great I maxed out my credit cards, impulsively got 3 tattoos and also wanted to start a new business and bought new laptop and a very expensive app. In the fall I got diagnosed with PMDD as I noticed my mood was very low. January ‘26 felt really great and bought a new luxury SUV even though my current car was fine. Akathisia was really bothering me at this point so I was weaned off it. March I hit rock bottom and was hospitalized for 2 months for depression and SI. I should have mentioned all of this while in the hospital but I was in such a low state I wasn’t able to. I have a follow up my psychiatrist in a couple of weeks….

Any nurses w bipolar? Suggestions with how to cope?
