PayPal balance shows -$691.28 but there's no transaction anywhere that explains it... USA
Hoping someone here has dealt with this before. My PayPal "balance" (the wallet, separate from my PayPal Credit card) is showing -$691.28, with the standard "add money to resolve your negative balance" warning.
Here's the thing — I went through my PayPal Credit statements and my wallet's activity history for the past few months, and I can account for every cent of that $691.28 elsewhere:
- An eBay purchase for $691.28 in February, paid with PayPal Credit, Synchrony Card.
- I disputed it through the Resolution Center a few days after not receiving it.
- PayPal temp credited my balance during dispute, once claim was denied in March, they removed the temp $691.28 credit.
- I filed another dispute with PayPal Credit card, Synchrony, and complained with my AG office.
- It was finally resolved and refunded in May 26 after going thru my states AG dept, explicitly back to PayPal Credit, Synchrony Card (confirmed on the transaction receipt)
- My PayPal Credit Synchrony card statement shows that refund landing and the balance going to $0
So the dispute resolved cleanly on the card. But my separate wallet balance is at -$691.28, and I cannot find a single transaction — no debit, no "paid with PayPal balance," no adjustment, nothing — in my wallet's activity that would explain why it's negative.
I called PayPal yesterday and asked to send proof I was credited twice, and all they sent me was a email that said "We've debited your account" and "you've received a duplicate credit" with a transaction number and no clear proof of multiple transactions like a statement of some sort. Speaking with customer service and the language barrier is horrible.
HORRIBLE replacement job at safelight location.
Safelight did a number on my interior. It is always PRISTNE. I had my windshield replaced, got my car back like this...
