It turns out that Kawade (director of the first three Paper Mario games) directed Dragon Hopper, the previously unreleased Virtual Boy game
Interestingly, this is the ONLY game outside of the Paper Mario series that he directed. This game is out now on the Virtual Boy library on NSO if you’re interested in playing it (though, I’m sure the game has been dumped at this point too).
