Need help growing my hair into this style
Need some haircut advice Im trying to grow my hair into this kind of style, but I’m not even fully sure what it’s called. To me it looks like a shag mullet type thing Mick Jagger inspired cut with that messy layered rockstar look rather than a clean modern mullet.
This is pretty much the exact vibe I want and I love how it looks, but my hair isn’t there yet. Right now I’ve just got more of a modern mullet with a burst fade/taper on the sides, so I’m wondering if the move is just to keep growing everything out first before trying to shape it into this.
If I wanted to get this cut eventually, what would I actually ask a barber/hairdresser for? Is “shag mullet” the right name, or is there a better term for this style? And since my current cut is shorter on the sides because of the fade/taper, should I leave it alone and just grow it out for a while before going for it?
