Riedell 111 toeguards/caps?

Hii! I want some leather toe guards for my riedell 111s. My crochet works okay indoors - but outdoors/park skating destroyed them (LMFAO). Riedell has toe guards and toe caps, and i see the bont caps. Which ones would fit? I *think* the riedell toecaps are for derby? Not sure.

I dont want to spend more than like... 30$? Cheap as i can while still being useful type.

Thanks!

(Ps I think this can be a main post as its not about the buying skates themselves. If not, my fault!)

Struggling to backfloat after top surgery

First: let me say im not new. I swam from infancy to 17, lifeguarded until 18, then got top surgery, took two years off, lifeguarded last summer and am now working as a swim instructor.

I know about swimming.

Now that thats out of the way - HELP my legs are sinking now. I think theres less bouyancy in my chest, making me struggle? I know to keep my hips up, stomach up, head relaxed, etc. I can still do my strokes just fine.

But... my legs sink? 😭 Could it be my pool? I havent had a chance to see if I still have this issue in other pools, its only been in my gyms pool (the chems are weird but I dont think that should effect it?).

Anyone whose has this sort of issue... PLEEEEASE help lmfao. This developed between last summer and now

Whats next, after Tobira Advanced Grammar?

To preface, I've just finished Genki 2 so I've got a little while, but my program will finish next spring and complete Tobira Advanced Grammar. I know its still far off, but thinking about my studies post grad is a little stressful so I figured I'd get some insight now!

So, as the title says, what would you guys do after finishing TAG?

How old do you all think someone has to be to effectively use JF0?

My niece (12yo) really wants to learn Japanese. I learn it at the college level, and have used JF0 before so I can def help her, but I'm not sure if the self study nature might be a little much for a middleschooler?

She'll also be taking it at HS but she seems to want to start now. Do you think a middle schooler could manage these books? How much support do you think they might need?
