Plexamp no longer seeing my Sonos system
Monday all was good, I was playing music from Plexamp to Sonos. Yesterday when I went to bed and tried to start playing music to the Sonos speaker in my bedroom Plexamp could no longer see Sonos.
Today when I got to my office and fired up Plexamp on my laptop, it too cannot see my Sonos speakers.
Oddly, the Sonos app on my phone is still playing music from Plex with no issues.
Anyone else seeing the same issue?
A story about successful support from Peloton
Rowing is my favorite, it becomes meditative for me.
Last November my living situation changed. I moved into a 110yo house in a small town on the Prairie. My house is small, I have two places I could put my Peloton equipment, a room in my basement, or on the enclosed part of my front porch. I chose the front porch because the basement is datk, dreary, and cramped. Given I live on the prairie, it can get very cold! Over the winter my rule was if the temperature was in double digits, I worked out on the Peloton gear (Row or Bike). If it was in single digits I did strength workouts inside. Needless to say some days in the gym were really cold. Entertainingly the Row has a temperature sensor in it, and some mornings when I would go out to the porch, and power up the screen, the Row would have a warning saying, "I'm too hot!" which given it was twenty degrees below freezing was hilarious. I'd clear the error or restart the Row and get on with my workout.
One morning in February, I got that warning, and then there was no resistance on the handle, that worried me a bit so I called Peloton. By the time they picked up the call, the error had cleared, and resistance was back. I allowed them to talk me into getting it looked at because I was under warranty. The nice repairman came out got my details, and said "based on that error, we need to replace the entire front-end." So he arranged for that to happen. A week or so later, I got a new front-end installed. It was miserable. something was wrong inside that new front-end. Every pull on the handle vibrated like something was grinding inside.
So I called Peloton and said "I wish you never had done this." and they said "we'll fix it"
So, a week or so later, the nice repairman came back out and said you need a new front-end, and he made that clear, but, several days later, Peloton said "we're going to send you a coil-spring first."
A week or so later, the coil spring arrives and then, and then, a week or so after that the nice repairman returns and installs it and still there was the grinding and vibrating. He got in touch with Peloton and said "I told you we needed to replace the front-end" they said "ok"
The new front-end was installed Thursday. For much of March, all of April, and much of May, my rowing was a test of will. I did it because I had promised myself I would, but there was no joy in rowing like there had been previously, every stroke I was yanked out of my calm headspace into this "gross I wish I wasn't doing this" headspace.
Yesterday I got my joy back. I just rowed. It was smooth, it was delightful, and I celebrated with a new 30-minute PR. I am really looking forward to tomorrow's 60-minute row.
