Timecode cable for Red Raven

Timecode cable for Red Raven

What timecode cable do I need to connect to a red raven? Will a 4 pin lemo to 3.5mm cable work, or do I need a breakout box before I can connect timecode?

Would this cable from Alvins camera work?

Weird time code issue with tentacle sync

Just got my two pack of tentacle sync E’s. Connected one to my zoom F4, time code jammed to the zoom correctly. Connected the other to my C100 via audio channel 2. Single camera with no cutting during the shoot. C100 set to 24fps (really 23.976). Sync E’s were both set to 23.976. When used the “get time code from audio” function in Resolve it gave wacky time code to each track. (Yes I made sure my timeline was set to 23.976). I downloaded the tentacle software and it correctly pulled the time code for each file. Anyone know why the time code resolved pulled was so out of whack? I’ve used it before with some Deity time code and didn’t have any issues with pulling time code from audio.

Used receiver recommendation

My LR channels on my receiver just died and I need to get a new to me receiver and want to get a higher quality used receiver vs a newer budget receiver. I currently use my receiver in a 5.1 set up using the optical out of my TV. I have no issues there so would be ok continuing that. My budget is roughly $200-$400.

Receiver: Yamaha RX-N600
LR: DBA 2.8 towers (back of speaker says 250W)
C: Yamaha NS-C150 (6ohm, 60W rms, 220W max)
Sub: powered sub
Surround: Small Klipsch speakers

I would really like a receiver with a mic input for auto set up, but that's not a necessity.

I've been doing location sound for about 3 years now in the indy film scene in Utah. I've done live sound for about 15 years so decently familiar with sound and how sound works. I have a regular day job so I mostly do sound on weekend shoots. Couple of questions about specific location sound things.

- Are y'all part of a union? Which one?

- Tips on long booms (distance) over a long shot?

- Are there budget options for IFBs for scripty/director?

- Who do you use for gear insurance?

- Any tips or tricks that you wish you knew sooner?

Thanks in advance!!
