How to list unverifiable work in resume?

I worked with a company in another country for some months. I wasnt on official payroll due to some visa issues and by the time i left, the company went bankrupt and closed down.

I lost contact with the people there (it was 8 years ago anyway). There’s no evidence to show that i’ve worked there except for the skills i gained working there. All this time i listed this experience in my resume but i was a grad student for a long time. Now that i’m getting back to the workforce people are starting to question it and my role in that company. I didn’t get to background checks with any company yet, but should I remove the experience as a whole as it is not traceable?

I’m afraid i’ll be seen as a fraud and rejected. But also without that experience, there’s a huge gap in my resume. I’m really confused on what is the right approach here.

Will asking a derm for an azelaic acid prescription work?

Have been struggling with acne, pih and hyperpigmentation forever. The only thing that ever worked for me was when a derm prescribed a regimen of adapalene and azelaic acid (skinoren 20%) years ago when i lived in another country.

I saw a derm recently who prescribed adapalene and winlevi, which didnt work for me, both cost-wise and for skin. I had mentioned that my skin does well on azelaic acid and differin and expected a prescription.

I’m switching derms now and wondering if directly asking them for a prescription of azelaic acid works?

Struggling with hijab after 24 years of wearing it

In my 30s and i wore the hijab young on my own as a kid. I was living in a muslim country at the time where all the women wore it, and loved how it looked and told my parents i’m wearing it too.

My family became a lot more particular about the hijab over the years. Now, after living in different countries alone and facing different situations (many of them discriminatory), i feel less connected with the hijab and want to take it off sometimes. My husband doesnt mind and tells me not to wear it if i dont want to. However i fear the backlash from my own family and friends, many of whom started wearing hijab because of me.

I was a lot more religious as a teenager and in my 20s. A lot of people got inspired from me. I know that my parents, uncles, aunts, best friends etc will have a hard time accepting me without it, and in the past few years its this thought that deterred me from removing it.

Recently a close friend told me of her struggles with hijab asking for help. I told her i shouldn’t be the one advising about this, but still helped her with some ways i make peace with wearing hijab. This incident put those doubts in my head again. She almost took off the hijab, even though her family is the same. I still dont have the courage to despite being older than her.

I feel like a hypocrite most of the time. Living in the west, most muslims and people assume i’m very practicing when i’m not ( i struggle with prayers, and other obligatory things in islam). I feel like a fake muslim sometimes.

I see my husband’s iman go up and down but no one judges him for it. But i’m supposed to hold up some standards as a hijabi muslim woman. And it is a weight i cannot bear sometimes.

I’m also desperately searching for a job. And wondering if i’ll have better chances if i dont wear it.

Mainly, I dont feel connected to hijab anymore. I feel stuck between wanting to not hurt my family and give my old parents a hard time, and being myself and practicing islam without expectations from outsiders.

On the flip side, i’m also worried i’ll go far away from islam without the hijab and without the support of my family.

Medication not covered by insurance (help-new to US healthcare system)

I have a skin medication (adapalene 0.3%) and looks like its not covered by my student insurance (bcbstx). I used to buy adapalene when i lived abroad for 10 bucks so it blew my mind when the pharmacist said it was $325. Im obviously not getting it, but was wondering if there is a way to get it for cheaper? I’m new to the healthcare system in the US and feel so confused navigating all this.

Can’t find new job postings since the beginning of June

Im graduating with a masters soon and have been actively applying for six months. I found a few openings and got some interviews from Feb to May. Since then I havent had one interview and have mostly seen job reposts (still applied to all of them but havent heard back/ got automated rejections). How do I get past this and secure a job by the time i graduate in August? And what could be the reason for no new jobs?
