Not a bad PB box

Wasn’t planning on getting a box but was feeling froggy. Pretty excited to pull The Mind Stone. I actually pulled 2 at pre release so pretty stoked about that. Feels like a Father’s Day gift ngl.

I’d like to know who won this trade, if you please

Team 1 is a win now contender and team 2 is a rebuild. I think it’s very close but I’ve heard people say CeeDee isn’t bringing as much value as I thought.

12 team 1 QB start 3 WR

Star Trek Spec

Thinking about the leaked Captain Kirk.
I’m not great at deck building but I think [[The Seriema]] could see a bump when that set comes out. Kirk Tutors for the enterprise, and Seriema Tutors for a legendary creature. It meet the color identity requirements, is a 3 CMC tutor with a decent body when stationed, and benefits from Kirk’s buffs. The sets were pretty much designed concurrently, so I imagine there’s going to be a lot of synergies and unlikely it gets a reprint in the set.
[[The Dawnsire]] probably sees a bump too but it’s more cost prohibitive.

Let me know what you think.

“That’s someone else’s problem”

Was listening to Patti’s podcast and Ed mentioned something interesting at the 19:00 mark about Dexter Lawrence. Apparently he was quoted as saying “Abdul is someone else’s problem.” This of course was regarding that stretch where Abdul was arriving late to meeting etc. But I can’t find a source for this anywhere. I generally watch all the interviews and don’t recall that being said. Am I bugging? Can anyone recall the interview or provide a source?

You hear the horror stories…

I read stories all the time about people and their bad experiences at their local LGS. Bad faith players, nasty hygiene, sketchy store practices, etc etc. It’s a bit intimidating to be honest.

I went to a commander night at an LGS for the first time this past Wednesday and had the complete opposite experience. Really friendly people, chill as heck play group, no stress about pace of the game or salt, fun binder trading, and good vibes all around.

I’ve played there before, but usually with my normal pod, never on a commander night. To go in on a random commander night and have good company was the type of experience the format feels like it was made for.

I’m generally a social person, but I did have a little bit of anxiety leading into the night. So it was a very nice reminder to myself that the internet stories aren’t the norm, and to touch grass lol. If you’re in a similar spot as I was, here’s your sign to get out there, bring good vibes, and have fun. ✌️

Pulled some cards I like, but didn’t pull the ones I REALLY wanted. Was hoping for Emeritus of Woe, a Vamp Tutor, and an elder dragon. It be like that sometimes though!
