Stability test for Curve Optimizer

Hi, which test should I run, and with what settings, to determine whether the Curve Optimizer value I've set is stable?

Thanks!

Double Protect Ultra Clear shelf life

Hello,

I use Double Protect Ultra Clear. I purchased the 5L container, but since my system required less than the full amount, I have some product left over.

How long can I keep the opened container before using it again? In other words, once opened, what is the shelf life of the product?

Thank you.

BOYS3 drivers versus the OpenXR Toolkit

Hi, has anyone compared the same game using the SBOYS3 drivers versus the OpenXR Toolkit? Which of the two performs better in terms of FPS?

Alphacool NexXxoS ST30 420mm vs CORSAIR Hydro X Series XR5 da 420 mm V2

Hello, I found a very interesting deal on the CORSAIR Hydro X Series XR5 420mm V2 (IMPORTANT: this is NOT the "NEO" series) for €65.
Since I'm building a custom loop with three 420mm radiators and plan to use Noctua NF-A14x25 G2 140mm fans at a maximum speed of 700 RPM, do you think these radiators are a good choice, or would it be better to go with an Alphacool NexXxoS ST30 420mm, which costs €96?
Considering that I'm investing in a completely new system, I'd like to make the most balanced choice possible. If there's a real performance difference, I'd go for the NexXxoS ST30. Otherwise, if I can save some money with the Corsair radiators without sacrificing meaningful performance, why not?
Thanks!

Delta T

Hi, is it possible to estimate a delta T between the liquid temperature and ambient temperature with a power consumption of 650W and two 420mmx30mm radiators with Noctua fans running at 700 RPM? Thanks

Are Aquarium Cases Ruining Custom Loop Airflow?

Hey, I'd like to get a better understanding of case layouts for custom loops. I've noticed that 'aquarium' (dual-chamber/fishtank) style cases are the most popular right now. Is there a technical reason why people aren't putting fans on the front anymore, or is it purely for aesthetics? Also, I was wondering: when you use 3 radiators, meaning you aren't pulling any fresh air from the outside, isn't there a risk of high internal case temperatures for the RAM, motherboard, and other components?

HWLabs Nemesis GTS 360mm vs Alphacool XT45 360mm

With an Alphacool APEX pump running at 50-60% and T30 120mm fans at a variable speed of 500-1000 RPM based on the workload, which of the two radiators will perform better? I read that the GTS is the best, but I am worried about its high restriction. Given that my loop will include 2 radiators, 1 GPU waterblock, and 1 CPU waterblock, I don't know if the pump will struggle or suffer at 50-60% speed.

PC Case Selection

Hi,

I need some advice on a case that can fit two 360mm radiators with T30 fans, an RTX 5090, and a 9800X3D. I know many of you claim that three radiators are necessary, but according to my calculations, my PC draws a maximum of 550W (5090) + 50W (9800X3D) while gaming at max settings in 4K with DLSS, Frame Generation, and HDR. Therefore, the power consumption is around 600W, which is more than manageable for two 360mm radiators. Anyway, my question is about the case: I was considering the Fractal Design Meshify 3 XL Ambience Pro RGB, but I found a case that I absolutely love, the FRAME 4000D WOOD RS (which is very similar to my Fractal North XL, but unfortunately, due to design constraints, the North XL cannot host two radiators and three intake fans). The radiators will be mounted on the top and on the side, leaving the front fans as intake for both cases.

Now, here is my question: given the smaller dimensions of the 4000D compared to the Meshify 3 XL, do you think I might run into overheating issues or poor airflow? Or will this not really matter in a custom loop?

Thanks

Hi, I’m still in the process of optimizing my first custom loop. I have a 9800X3D and an MSI 5090. Right now I can choose between either using two 360mm radiators (30mm Alphacool) with T30 fans running at around 1000 RPM, or using one 420mm radiator with Noctua NF-A14x25 G2 PWM fans running at around 750 RPM (which should provide roughly the same static pressure as the T30s at 1000 RPM) plus one 360mm radiator with T30s.

The main issue is that I already own the T30s (I have 9 of them), while I would need to buy the 3 Noctuas new.

After asking some AI tools, it seems that the difference between the two setups would only be around 2–3°C in coolant temperature. What do you think? Does a 2–3°C difference under the same conditions sound realistic?

I know many of you will say that 3 radiators are needed, but I’ve seen plenty of users on Reddit running 2 radiators with the same configuration as mine without any coolant temperature issues.

My reasoning is to keep those fan speeds with ambient temperatures up to around 25°C. During summer, the fans could obviously run faster, but I probably wouldn’t care much about noise since I’d either have the windows open or the air conditioner running, which would make having a completely silent PC kind of pointless anyway.

Thanks!

Guys, thank you for your posts, but I’d ask you to stick to the question I asked and not drift onto other topics. Thanks.
