Best way to hook a busy group into Frostgrave? (Looking for specific scenarios/campaigns)

Hi everyone! I want to introduce Frostgrave to my busy gaming group. Personally, I love immersion and exploration, and my brother is a long-time D&D DM who values a strong narrative. The rest of the group plays casual games like Zombicide and wants straightforward, immediate fun.

Since our time is very limited, what is the best starting point to get them hooked instantly? Does it make more sense to play a couple of standalone skirmishes, or jump straight into a short campaign?

Are there any specific scenarios from the core book or short official campaigns you would recommend that offer great exploration and story without overwhelming casual players? Thanks!

How many walkways are too many for skirmish games? (Mordheim, OPR)

Hey everyone! My brother and I are debating how many walkways to use for our skirmish games and need your advice. I finished building this board a few days ago, and it is actually my first time making one.

Our layout has 6 perimeter buildings and 1 large church right in the center (see attached pic).

My brother thinks that adding too many walkways will just turn the game into a game of tag, with models constantly running away across them. On the other hand, I think that if we don't connect them with walkways, the upper floors of the buildings become useless because they lack exit routes.

Should we link the perimeter buildings together so models can cross without touching the ground? Is it a good idea to run walkways from the outer buildings directly into the church's upper levels, or does it just create a bad chokepoint?

We want a cinematic table, but we need to balance melee vs. ranged gameplay. What is your sweet spot or golden rule for walkways? Thanks!

First time making terrain! Built a Mordheim board in a month using cardboard and TP. How did I do? (Pics)

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share my very first attempt at making tabletop terrain, which I managed to finish in **just one month**.

Since my old Warhammer minis are at my parents' house, I had to rely on AI and internet guides to figure out the scales for the buildings, walkways, and stairs. I took a lot of inspiration from this subreddit, so I really wanted to show you the final result and get your feedback.

**Materials used:**

* Cardboard

* Toilet paper + PVA glue (for texture)

* Printed posters and acrylic paints

I'm super happy with how it turned out for a first-timer. Let me know what you think or any tips for the next batch!

C&C welcome!
