Burle Marx Variegated Philodendron
This plant is so beautiful no matter which way you look at it! It's been putting out some beautiful leaves lately!

I've spent the day making handmade paper. The 1st batch was made from used tea, cream book pages and unwanted scrapbook paper with a white core. The paper came out very grey, but it will dry lighter. The second batch was another pitcher of cream book pages and a pitcher of brown kraft paper chopped coarsely for a rustic look. I have a few new supplies I found in a 2nd hand shop a while back, so I have an 8.5x11 inch mold & deckle that I used for the first time. It is giving me very clean edges so far.
I went out on some errands this morning, came home to this fully open this afternoon! There are two more that should be open in a few days, and several baby peduncles forming on the new growth!
Yesterday I noticed my Regina Red had produced a vine long enough to flop over. So this morning I took it out of the pot where it was root bound a little bit, upsized it into a clay pot that I hand painted, and added a piece of driftwood. I used velcro plant tape to hold it until the roots adhere.
My Obovata just bloomed (4 blooms total) about 5ish weeks ago. Two days ago I noticed that the four peduncles had begun to swell. Yesterday I looked closely at the biggest one and this is what I found. Is it about to bloom again already?
This leaf unfurled 4 days ago. It is the latest one and the biggest one so far. If they (there are 3 plants in the pot, that's how it came when purchased) are getting leaves this big now, I can't wait to see how big they are by the end of summer!
My Monstera Standleyana is continuing to put out solid white leaves. I know that typically this is not sustainable long-term, but aren't they beautiful?! So far it has three leaves fully open that are solid plus the one that's coming in. There is no green in the stem past the third leaf down. For those of you that have had this experience, will the white just keep going or do you think green will come back in at some point, assuming these leaves do not die off in the near future? Thanks for looking.
Why I love my Scindapsus Kalimantan. The leaf pattern and coloring are just gorgeous!
I was talking to my husband on the back porch just now, looked down and there it was just staring at me! This has come on a new vine that has grown since April that's now about 8 to 10 in long on my Lacunosa Autumn Blush. 😁
I just found this minutes ago while watering. It is on my wayetti. This makes 5 of my 27 hoyas with peduncles! Can anyone show me what to expect with wayetti blooms? I am excited! Thank you! ☺️
The first of four peduncles opened up this afternoon!
I got my Treubii Dark Form in January this year. It had five leaves and was roughly 6 inches tall. In 6 months it has doubled in height and now has 12 leaves, plus one unfurling. I had a few pieces of driftwood not allocated to other plants, and this little gem was growing straight up. A root had pushed through the drain hole so I thought "It's time."... Look at those roots! If all the roots on my plants look this good I would not have a worry in the world! The driftwood is 18 and 1/2 inches tall. After it reaches the top I'll take cuttings to plant back into the pot.
These leaves have popped out in the last week or so. I had not noticed the bright neon pink until today. This is a Tricolor (at least that's what it was tagged as when I bought it about 4 years ago) In the past, it has had new leaves edged in pink but nothing like this! It gets direct sun filtered through clear roofing about two and a half hours off and on in the afternoon, with dappled bright light from about noon until the direct sun, then dappled light again in the late afternoon until the sun goes down. I am going to assume that it is sun stress, but if anyone thinks it is something else please comment. In the meantime I'm going to enjoy these bright red leaves, they practically glow in the dark!
My newest and biggest leaf on my horse head AKA violin philodendron. 😁
Here's a picture of my Silvery Ann taken in July of '24. When I took it outside in April, it was about 3ish feet long. In this photo it about 5 to 5.5 ft long. It grew to about 9 ft by the time I took it inside in October.
I've been gone for a week house sitting for my daughter. My Obovata was showing no signs of growth after I repotted it last month. My intention was to chop and prop when I got home today, but instead I found these! 😁
My Calkins Gold is spitting out new leaves left, right and center since moving my plants outside about a month ago. Since the photo was taken, the unfurled one has opened and another one is coming in on the right side. I am excited to see it put on so much growth!
