I picked up the RIDGID 18V 2-Tool Combo Kit with Drill/Driver, Impact Driver, Batteries & Charger (Model # R92721) from Home Depot Canada in about January of this year. I was using the driver other day and it just stopped working. I thought it was the battery. I changed to another battery and it the same thing happened. If I use the test battery button when connected to this driver, nothing happens. At first I though I had 2 dead batteries and tried another, same thing.

I cannot get this to work at all, any tips, anybody seen this before? What do I do? There is barely any scuffs on it too, my last one lasted me at least 12 years, I only got a new set because I broke the chuck on the drill trying to mix mortar with it.

I am on the toroid section (2.9) and it says that the you start at 0 by inserting the wire through the hole with a bit of wire sticking out, then start winding. Now that first one goes through the hole, but is labeled as Zero, so do I count that as one the 10 windings? or do I go through the hole technically 11 times to get 10 windings?

I am expecting my QMX+ tomorrow and am getting things ready for when I have it built. I am looking to enter this hobby frugally, and was looking at this for an antenna along with the following tuner.

From what I see it should work, anybody have any thoughts on this?

Created a new game to help me learn CW - check it out at ditdah.ca. It is in beta so please let me know your thoughts. It works with the vail adapter. I don't have a vband one so unsure if that works. It is paddle only while I figure out the timing issues with the straight key.

I have an old floor lamp I am trying to rewire, it had a ceramic mogul base that is attached with what appears to be a 1/2inch threaded pipe. I want to convert this to a standard lamp socket, but they take a M10 threaded rod.

Where can I find an adapter between the two?

I can't seem to find any information on how to install the purview extension for Firefox on mac and linux machines.
