[Class] Made a lawyer spellcaster class (I know). Looking for someone to poke holes in it.
Made a class called the Law Caster. It’s a lawyer, as a spellcaster. I know how that sounds, I’ve said it to myself at 1am more than once. Couldn’t stop anyway — full 1–20, three subclasses, spell list, feats, the works.
Never run it at an actual table. Only tested by me, alone, doing math in a notes app. So I have no idea if it actually holds up.
Three things I’m specifically nervous about:
1: 9th-level spell paralyzes for 3 rounds with no early escape, even if I lose concentration — too much for level 9?
2: A feature that forces Legendary Resistance to become a real roll instead of an auto-pass. Cool, or annoying for DMs?
3: Two of three subclasses require 13 Cha on top of the casting stat. Thematic, or just a tax nobody wants?
10 pages, sorry, apparently I had a lot to say about fake legal magic. Tell me if it’s bad.
