I’ve tried a few times before with wild queens, but I’m a noob and this is the furthest I’ve made it. How do I keep the brood healthy I know she’ll do most of the work and so will the workers once they grow up. I’m thinking possibly Camponotus chromaiodes based on the coloration. Black head and abdomen with a dark redish brown thorax. I don’t have the know how to verify 100% anyways any information helps.

When life gives you lemons

Bought the same day. In the same bag. One had air exposure the other wasn’t necessarily sealed but it had less air exposure. The yellow one was the one that could breathe.
