Is the GRU01M1 weed trimmer any good?

A Home Depot about 2hrs away is clearing out this weed trimmer for $200, with battery and charger. It doesn't seem to take any attachments, though. It seems to be the "entry level" 40V trimmer, but is it any good?

8Ah x2 started on clearance?

What am I missing? Why would HD be clearancing these out? This is at the HD in St. Joseph, MO. I already have more 20V batteries than I do DeWalt's 20V tools, so I passed.

Thoughts on the XAG25Z angle grinder?

HD is clearing them out, and at $130, it sure seems tempting. How does it perform? I assume it's on clearance because of the XLock system, but is that really a big issue? Should I look at a different model?

The smart way or pointless way?

YT Morphe and Reddit always get caught and I'm urged to scan the app when I install the patched app. I always choose "install without scanning" because... screw Google, but is it that important to avoid scanning the patched app?

Interestingly, it does not do this for the patched YouTube.

Polenar Tactical polish job

The polishing job that Polenar Tactical posted on their YouTube channel for the Arex Delta M is exactly what is needed for the RM1 series. The two guns are identical internally, and the polishing job goes a long way to improving the trigger. It only shaved an ounce off the trigger pull weight, but the gritty feel is basically gone. I polished the Performance Trigger, and it's nowhere close to the 4-4.5# they advertise on their website, so hopefully the Glock springs will get it to where it's supposed to be already.

My 2904 has a little bit of torque

My son got me a 2904 drill to replace my old 2604 drill that finally died after 10 years. I thought the 725in-lbs of the 2604 was plenty. This new beast, however...

Who has installed the Performance Trigger?

"Reduce Trigger pull weight to 4-4.5 lbs"

"Reduced trigger travel and reset distance"

So what exactly is different about this Performance Trigger that drops the trigger pull weight? There is no spring change, or discernable geometry change on any part of the trigger bar, so where does the reduction in trigger pull weight come from?

I can see where the back.of the trigger can help with pretravel and over travel, but reducing the trigger weight by a pound or more without a spring change is really confusing me.

Dimension of 1.7 and 3.5 Powerstacks

I can't find the dimensions of the 1.7 and 3.5 PowerStack batteries, and DeWalt's website makes for confusing specs, saying the 3.5 is smaller than the 1.7, which I find hard to believe.

I'm pretty sure the 3.5 is smaller than the 5Ah PS that I have, but I'm looking for a small footprint to throw on my DCF870 for quick jobs.

Does anyone have the actual dimensions of the 1.7.and 3.5 batteries?

RM1C Comp shaves copper jackets

I finally got my RM1C Comp to the range yesterday, and discovered an interesting feature: it shaves off parts of the copper jacketed bullet (the 2nd picture is where a piece left me a blister).

This gun also needs that trigger polish job that is on YouTube for the Arex Delta. I've been spoiled by my Canik pistols.

Viofo A229 is spastic

For those of you with the A229 dashcam, how often do you find it announcing *in the middle of a drive* "Recording. One channel started" even though it did so properly when you started your car 15 minutes earlier? (yeah, I haven't gotten around to getting my rear camera installed yet)

Does this mean it quit recording at some point during the drive, or is it starting a new recording loop?

Need a new hammer drill-driver

My Milwaukee 2604 hammer drill has finally died after... 10 or 11 years, so it's time to replace it. I'm not beholden to any battery platform since I have Milwaukee, Makita, MetaboHPT, and DeWalt. DeWalt has so many options that my head is spinning: DCD806, 1007, 79somethings, 99x... I have a big Bosch SDS rotary hammer drill for big holes in concrete, so this hammer drill would just need to handle auger bits, hole saws, normal drilling, and easier hammer drill tasks like making holes for screw anchors in cinder block and such where dragging out a big corded SDS is impractical. I want a drill that can handle bigger drilling tasks that my 12V Extreme 5-in-1 can't do, and smaller hammer tasks that my Bosch will be overkill. I currently have three 5Ah PowerStack batteries for my 20V hydraulic driver and cutoff tool, so a bare tool is definitely an option.

My now-dead drill had 725in-lbs of torque (top tier back in 2015 when I bought it), so something of the same size and a bit more oomph is what I'm looking for.

Yes, I know what subreddit I'm asking the question in, which is why I'm asking in all of them for different perspectives. Are there any issues certain models have been having?

This guy is what I had before it died: https://www.milwaukeetool.com/products/details/m18-fuel-1-2-hammer-drill-driver-kit/2604-22ct

Need a new hammer drill/driver

My Milwaukee 2604 hammer drill/ driver has finally died after... 10 or 11 years, so it's time to replace it. I'm not beholden to any battery platform since I have Milwaukee, Makita, MetaboHPT, and DeWalt. What is the scoop on Makita 's LXT hammer drill/driver? I have a big Bosch SDS hammer drill for big things, so this hammer drill would just need to handle auger bits, hole saws, normal drilling, and easier hammer drill tasks like making holes for screw anchors in cinder block and such where dragging out a big corded SDS is impractical. I want a drill that can handle bigger tasks that my 12V drills can't and smaller tasks that my Bosch will be overkill. I am not getting into another battery platform, and don't have enough things that would require several hundred dollars investing in XGT for one drill (at least until they come out with a 40V oil impulse driver to replace my beloved LXT oil impulse driver).

Yes, I know what subreddit I'm asking the question in...

EDIT: since nomenclature seems to be confusing folks, this is what I want to replace. A normal hammer drill/driver. Not a SDS hammer drill. Not an impact driver. Just a regular hammer drill/driver. Back when this was new, the 2604 was their top Fuel model with 725in-lbs of torque. I want an equivalent, or maybe a bit stronger.

My RM1C Comp finally arrived yesterday! Trigger is no Canik trigger (yes, I'm spoiled) but it too bad right out of the box.
