I tried a Golden Yunnan black tea that I was given as a gift. I brewed it for 3 minutes 30 seconds at 93°C using my temperature-controlled kettle.
While it was steeping, I noticed a fairly noticeable layer of foam. I know black tea can sometimes do that, and my tap water is very hard, so that could be a factor too (I can't really afford to buy bottled water just for tea).
When I tasted it, I found it extremely bitter, almost coffee-like, with a very strong astringency. I also picked up some notes that reminded me of beer.
I'm wondering if I'm just too used to drinking plain green teas and oolongs. I rarely drink straight black tea, and when I do, I usually prefer ones with a lot of additional flavor complexity rather than something that's just intensely malty and tannic.

Today it's extremely hot where I live, around 39–40°C (102–104°F), basically a heatwave.
I wanted to go out with my Momentum 4, but I started wondering whether I should take it with me or leave it at home. In the end, I left it in my apartment, which was actually cooler at around 32°C (90°F).
I'd be interested in hearing your experiences with using headphones during very hot weather, especially in direct sunlight. Have your headphones held up fine, or have you ever had them stop working because of the heat?
Considering how expensive the Momentum 4 is, I'd rather not risk damaging my favorite pair of headphones, and I doubt the warranty would cover heat-related damage.
