Vitamin D deficiency causing TE? Going insane 😭

This all the hair fall from showering, brushing hair within a day. Feel like I’ve been losing 300+ hairs a day in August.

For context, in 2023 I went through a bad hair shedding phase from weight loss due to a very stressful event. I got diagnosed with AGA and got on Spirnolactone and now on 100mg. Within two weeks of being on it the shedding stopped and life was good. Hair regrew etc, it was a miracle drug for me.

April 2026 | got to my annual pcp and she checked my vitamin d levels. It was 12.3ng so l got put on a weekly pill for next 6 months - 1yr. Starting in June/july I noticed my hair starting to shed more than usual. Now in August I feel like I’m losing 200+ hairs a day similar to the period in 2023. It feels like the spiro isn’t even doing anything to stop the shedding.

I went to my hairloss derm and she didn’t say much other than come back in 3 months and continue to take the spiro. I just feel like I’m losing all my progress I got from spiro since 2023 and it won’t grow back because I have AGA.

How long does TE last? Am I at the peak stage since I’m loosing sooo much. Hoping it stops within the next couple weeks cuz I’m going insane 😭 I don’t even feel like socializing or going out cuz clumps of hair fall out. I’ve been wearing my hair in a claw clip mostly now

Dread shed on Spironolactone?

Not sure if anyone has similar stories or advice, I see my derm end of August for a follow up so will discuss with her as well but been on Spirnolactone 100mg since 2023.

In 2023 had massive hair loss due to weight loss/stress and got diagnosed with AGA. I got on spiro and it was a godsend for my hair. Stopped crying after shower days or brushing my hair etc.

Fast forward now - I was traveling a lot in June and July and was very lax with my spiro intake. I would skip a few days, sometimes a week of taking the pill (so bad i know). Starting in July I noticed my hair started to shed a lot more and now it’s really shedding A LOT, like it did in 2023.

Shorter hairs, thinner hairs, overall just shedding so I’m wondering did I cause a dread shed for myself? I’ve been consistently taking it for the past two weeks so hoping my body adjusts back to it but :/

Also noticed my ferritin levels were 43 in April 2026, my doc never said anything about it but I wasn’t even shedding in April.

Anyways TYIA

Is that an egg sack ??

I’m about to throw up. I’ve been living in my NYC apartment for the past 3 years and always had roach issues, but they were always isolated, lone stars.

Exterminator would come and go but only twice a month because my landlord sucks lol and for awhile they were gone, but I would see maybe one in a blue moon. I live right across the trash room which always had issues (nightmare, I know).

In the middle of July I had gone on a trip. I always make sure my apartment is deep cleaned before I go and make sure there’s no food etc. Well for some reason after this trip I’ve been having major issues. Dead babies in my cabinets where I keep my glassware, babies where I keep my plates, babies in the sink. I see 1-2 babies every day. I took out all my dish-ware and cleaned the cabinets but they’re still popping up!

Well today I catch this one…. Is that an egg sack attached, was that a pregnant cockroach??? I’m about to crash out lol, I ordered Alpine WSG to NJ since I can’t get it in NYC, but help 😭

Do you think staying in the Expert Network industry this long has hurt my career prospects?

Hello everyone, I'm writing to seek advice on those in similar positions or ways to transition out of the expert network industry. The expert network (GLG, AlphaSights, Guidepoint, Third Bridge, etc.) basically connect clients (hedge funds, PE firm, etc) with vetted subject matter experts for phone consultations. I work on the client servicing side so I run the projects for my clients, vet subject matter experts and schedule the calls for my clients in short.

The issue is that I'm coming up on 7 years at the company and I do not want to be in this industry anymore. My career path is fairly straightforward: Associate, Research Manager, Project Manager and now currently VP of Client Success.

Throughout my career I have been involved in:

- managing a small team

- managing client relationships (funds, strategic consulting, corporate)

- delivering complex projects with tight deadlines

- hiring, coaching and performance management

- improving operational processes and KPIs

Now I'm starting to think I've stayed in this industry/company for too long and realizing my exit opportunities are slim since most of the job is soft skills and my VP title isn't the same compared to a VP role at another company in a different industry.

Wondering how I could market myself in a different industry or tips on landing a different role (Senior Manager or something) with another company without a hiring team not wanting to hire a VP title for a Senior Manager role, if that makes sense. I have been trying to apply on my own but have been receiving mostly rejections, I know the job market isn't in the best shape right now.

Any direct experience, advisor, or perspective is greatly appreciated. Thank you!
