hello, what is parenting after 18 like? I am super nervous about it.

Tomorrow my first baby turns 18 and it's also the 2nd year anniversary of my father passing away. Oddly enough, he died exactly at the time she was born 18 years ago.

I had a horrible run doing my best to co parent with a really awful ex. Many years were tumultuous for no reason on his part. I was always the constant, the structure. Most of the time she hated me for that, but I was once a hooligan myself, and wanted to keep my eyes on her in this day and age just for her safety.

So please, give me your best advice on parenting an adult. I plan on writing her a heartfelt note later, letting her know I don't care if she's 45, she can always come back home. 😥

I am spending a solo trip in Saugatuck in the near future and was looking for recs for : coffee shop, bar, a good dinner spot, best hike around the area, and best beach to pop up for the day and watch the sun come down.
