How to get camera to focus on multiple faces

Currently facing some issues with the autofocus even when i take photos with 1 subject in it sometimes the subject face is not in focus even though my single point focus square is on their face.

This issue is made worse when i try to take photos with multiple people in it. It often focuses on 1 person and the other person although directly beside is not in focus at all.

Can i hard bake certain settings into 1 of my recipes to guarantee that i can capture half body/ full body shots/ group shots while just fiddling with the Aperture?

Complete noob as I’ve just transitioned over from p&s film cameras so appreciate any help/ information I can get

My first 12 hours with the X100VI

It’s my first digital camera and i’m loving the camera so far. Complete newbie so i’m still confused what each individual film simulation settings does but I’ve been fiddling with a few to get some colours that i like.

Would love to know some recipes that are popular, favourites/ customised/ recommended:

  1. A more natural/ sharp/ universal look
  2. A more cinematic/ moody look that’s good for light and shadows
  3. A recipe for nice night scenes (neons/ bright lights)
  4. A nice recipe for close up portraits/ outfit photos

How to tell if a photo is actually good

I’ve been shooting with a point and shoot camera everytime i’ve been to japan for the past 4/5 years and these are some of my favourite shots

While these look good to me. I’m curious what professional/ actual enthusiasts actually think

Please be brutally honest, specific and constructive

Why does frye have such a bad reputation

Recently bought this Frye brando engineer and I have some trouble dating or finding more information on them

Most frye engineer boots i’ve searched up only has 1 upper buckle and upon searching up on reddit. It seems like everyone is bashing on frye

So i’m just wondering is frye a good brand?

Any information or date on these pair of Fryes

Pic 1-8 Frye Brando Engineer
Pic 9-14 Frye Sutton Midlace

I’ve been trying to research these 2 pairs for any information online but the fryes engineer boots usually only has 1 upper buckle and the sutton midlace i’ve found do not have the speed hooks.

I got the engineer boot for about 180USD and the sutton for 110USD. Did i overpay?

Also really curious why the online consensus on fryes are so bad.
