Celine’s packaging

I had a Saks gift card and my philosophy is when you get a gift card, you treat yourself.

I was in Celine and was getting my husband to smell the candles without looking at the names. He described this as smoky, subterranean, like being in a Parisian wine cellar. So obviously Nightclubbing had to come home with us, although it’ll be a few months before we burn it (it’s definitely a cold weather candle.) I’ll do a proper review then, but the cold throw is medium, not overpowering.

I love the packaging, I’m especially obsessed with the grained texture of the paper on the matches they gifted me.

Smoke bush

Have been looking for smoke bush for the last month but it’s hard to find. I finally found it this weekend, along with an anthurium that has similar rust tones.

Zinnias

I was gifted some zinnias from my friend’s garden and I just love the variety of colors.

Moro Dabron

I had this Ochiba candle in our guest room, and our friend just left so now I’ve brought it into this room for me and Grogu to enjoy.

It’s an incredible scent, and yes, at some point once it’s done I will be trying to put flowers in it.

Broken Amaranthus stem

The stem of this Amaranthus was twisted and broke off so it wouldn’t fit in my larger vase. I mixed it into this smaller vase but didn’t want to cut it since the stands were some of the better I’ve seen, so decided to leave it long and just be it’s weird self.

Tiger Lillies

I’ve been walking by these peach colored tiger lillies at the farmers market for a few weeks now but wasn’t sure what to do with them. Decided to mix them with some gladiolus for a peaches and cream vibe and use the smaller yellow gloriosas with the dark brown center to pick up the brown on the petals. They aren’t my favorite colors but sometimes I like the challenge of doing something different.

Summer Haze fell out of the vessel

I was trimming the wick and a bit fell into the candle so I turned it upside down and the candle fell out (I know it happens with new ones sometimes even after burning so not complaining.)

Since it was empty I decided to play with it and now I am debating if I should just pop the candle into a classic vessel or put it back. I have an empty classic that I use for this dried hydrangea and I could switch them, but I’m wondering if it makes the hydrangea look dull.

I realize this is not a real issue but this sub has never steered me wrong so what look do you all like better?

Can anyone ID the pink flowers

Picked them up at the farmers’ market and I don’t know what they are. They have tiny thorns.

End of Spring Garden Arrangements

My friends grow the most gorgeous peonies. They were deadheading their garden this weekend and invited me to take flowers home. A few arrangements and some close ups.

An arrangement I did from my friends’ garden

He handed me the pitcher and said to do what I wanted. I had been paying attention to what he said his favorite iris was and wanted to include it. He is letting me take home some peonies tomorrow which I am very excited about. They were my father’s favorite flowers and always remind me of him 🩷

French Goth Arrangement

Came across this on Castor Fleuriste’s account. Most of his work is brighter but every once in awhile he does darker arrangements.

Old and new

I finished my medium sized Loewe tomato leaves on the same day that I received the Moro Dabron Ochiba candle.

I didn’t make it to the farmers market this week and I have a lot of traveling coming up so I grabbed some flowers from Trader Joe’s just to see how the Loewe would look filled up. It holds a lot.

Happy Mother’s Day to all! Including those who want to be moms and the dads acting as moms 🩷

I’ve been using the Pulsetto my husband bought and it helps me sleep but I have a nickel allergy and have a rash on my neck where the nodes of the Pulsetto are. Does anyone have recommendations for a device that does not have nickel in the nodes?
