I was thinking of sketching some characters for the community!

All you have to do is comment below with a description of the character you’d like me to portray. I’m going to try and do as many as I can with my limited time for the evening (European time) and keep it restricted to portrait or half-body sketches to get to as many of you as possible.

Following up on last week's Ireena artwork, I'm happy to share Ismark's illustration and token now!

Already from the beginning, the official module puts Ismark in a very tough spot, and I'm afraid I leaned into it and made it even tougher for him in my campaign.

I ended up interpreting him as this very tired man, still gracious and soft with his words and proficient with a sword, but on whose face you could see the weight he was carrying. Needless to say, Ismark was probably my favorite character to play.

So my goal was to depict all that onto the character, hopefully it reads well and still fits into your game.

I hope my version can fit into your campaign too, he was probably one of my favorite npcs to play throughout the adventure.

I already shared this on the COS subreddit, but I thought I'd share it here too in case somebody needs it.

This is my illustration and interpretation of Ireena Kolyana from Curse of Strahd.

I liked the idea of an Ireena rough around the edges given the environment she had to grow up in and the presence of Strahd in her life. During my campaign (which ended long ago), she developed into this improvised warrior very naturally, which gave her a little bit more depth and usefulness.

Anyway, forgive my ramble. I hope the illustration fits your campaign too!

Hi everyone! I'm long past my Curse of Strahd campaign as a DM, but I'm still having fun revisiting it by sketching its characters here and there. I thought it fitting to give back to this lovely community that helped me so much along the way.
