ISO creative florists & bakers near Cannon Beach in Oregon

I’m planning an elopement near Cannon Beach along the Oregon Coast and would love recommendations for local bakeries and florists who specialize in artisan cakes and bouquets. Inspo photos attached :)

Flying into Portland just my fiancé and I so I’m looking for a tiny cake and just one bouquet.

Open to picking something up in Portland before we head that way but for ultimate freshness, I’d prefer something more local since we’ll be there a few days before the elopement. I’m coming from out of state so I’m not familiar with the area.

Seeking MCM warmth in my cool toned, narrow living room

Hi everyone! I could really use some design help with my narrow living room that is tragically open concept.

Here are two photos of my empty, blank space living room. Open concept, sharing space into the dining room (where the brick is) and kitchen (across from the living room, connected to dining room-all open).

Home was built in the late 50s and I love warm, tasteful midcentury modern that is curated and intentional.

I’ve also included some inspiration photos so you can see the style of living space I am drawn to. What suggestions do you have for me to achieve something like this?

For reference, the living room is 21'10" x 11'11" so it’s quite narrow. The ceilings are about 8 feet tall. Really struggling here.

Thanks in advance!

Where are all the best vintage shops sourcing from?!

Specifically referring to homewares and furniture. Checked out Lykke Haus and Paloma Vintage today — both had some INCREDIBLE mcm pieces but they cost an arm and a leg.

I’m certainly not finding stuff that good at thrift stores or estate sales. Anyone know where shops like that are finding their midcentury pieces, or where to look for em?

Straw or mulch?

Newbie here. Located in zone 7b and have heard I need to mulch my raised beds before it gets much hotter but am hearing a lot about selecting something without pesticides and that won’t cause weeds.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Curious to hear pros and cons of straw vs mulch.
