If you book a king premium room (no room type specified), does 1 category upgrade apply to room types let’s say x view premium, y view premium, etc…? So can a hotel say, we put you in ‘Y view premium’ that’s an upgrade?
Or if a suite is the next highest category of room, is that the next category of upgrade?

Wanting to book NYC to Paris from 12/23 (or 24) to 1/2 (or 1/3).
I know it’s a hard time of year to book and am looking for business class (at least on way outbound to help with jet lag and not cost a day) but am having a hard time. Started looking 4 weeks ago.
Have plenty of Amex and Chase points.
Any advice? I’ve been looking on a lot of carriers and even flying out of Boston or Philly with no luck.
I have looked at Virgin even but it seems like I get an error message each time?

Does it ever make sense to book with a chase sapphire reserve on Chase portal with 8x back given the reservation and benefits load to IHG rather than via IHG premier card?
Have diamond status if that matters.

Hey, new to all this.
Just booked a delta JFK to OPO and then from LIS to JFK for a Portugal trip for 2 weeks in August for my wife and I. Did D1 at 195k Skypesos each round trip. Cash price would’ve been ~12k though I’d never pay that. Was 1200$ round trip per person to pay for delta main.
Not thrilled it’s a 767-300 outbound but at least 330-900 coming back.
Maybe I looked wrong but when looking at Virgin and flying blue, I couldn’t find much.
How’d I do?
Edit: the fees for flying blue were really high. Delta was ~140$ combined.

My AirPods Pro 3 went missing from the delta skyclub at ORD on Wednesday. Since then they are at a presumed employees home during the day (precision location) and then I see them go to work at the sky club at ORD in the evening.
I have filed a police report (can’t do anything).
I have notified delta as well since this has to be an employee and they clearly work in the lounge based off location. Delta had me file a report. They say they are ‘investigating’ but I have little faith.
Is there anything else I can do?
I literally have the address of this employee. Unfortunately I do not live in Chicago.

Has anyone ever had their inner circle benefits not recognized?
I stayed at a kimpton and was told that “Kimpton Hotel X is an IHG‑owned property, and as such, not all Kimpton brand perks and amenities apply at this location. Certain benefits offered at independently owned Kimpton hotels may vary or be unavailable at Kimpton Hotel X.”
This was the manager. Does this make sense to anyone else? If anything being IHG owned means they would have to honor as inner circle is now an IHG program.
I got no guaranteed upgrade and they kept arguing it was based on availability (the inner circle t&c explicitly say it isn’t). They did recognize it was guaranteed at one point but then realized they didn’t do it and had no availability so would pivot back to stating it was ‘based on availability’ or would then say the spiel about not participating in kimpton perks.
Also, no inner circle welcome amenity. And I was told the part about they don’t participate in kimpton inner circle (but they are a kimpton?).
Has anyone ever experienced this?
