Thoughts on "the truth inside Harley Benton" video?

Did you see this video? I did and found it interesting.

My immediate thought is that I would like this same test to be done on Tele style guitars from HB and Squire to see if there is a difference.

Secondly I think Les Paul style guitars are a bit more complex to build compared to Tele or strat style, so I think it should not be a problem on those guitars.

Still, it is worrying a bit, because you can tell the quality of the body wood is abysmal

Thinking of getting a TE-69TL, any opinions from owners?

Hello, I am thinking of getting a second guitar (I already own a Fender Mustang which I love), and I'd like a tele style one... and I am tempted by the Harley Benton TE-69TL.

So I have a few questions if anybody happens to own one or has tried one:

- How does it compare to a Fender Tele Player II (which would set me back around 850EUR new, not something I am willing to spend, but I can find for around 550EUR used.) and how does it compare to Squire Classic Vibes?

- How about the playability of the TE-69TL, how's the neck feeling? To me this is the most important part, but in general how does it play? Is it a guitar you can fall in love with?

- Are the pickups acceptable?

- I read around that it weights around 3.8 Kg, although HB itself doesn't seem to publish this info (or I cannot find it) - and weight is the reason I was thinking about this guitar, since the other HB teles are heavier

Tuners need to be changed?

Hi everyone,

I have a nice Fender Mustang which I really love, but the tuning get out of tune often, like every 10 minutes if I check the tuning, it's slightly off.

What could it be? the tuners?

Heading for surgery I think

Hello everyone, I have DeQ since March 2026, so far I had 3 cortisone shots in a row (doc said it was the best way) but the pain returned after a short 4 weeks pain free.

Sooo I had yet another shot, the pain is improving, but I also got an ultrasound scan finally, here is the outcome in case interested

Mild radiocarpal joint effusion.

Marked fluid distension of the synovial sheath of the abductor pollicis longus and extensor pollicis brevis tendons, consistent with De Quervain's tenosynovitis, with thickening of the abductor pollicis longus tendon showing a high-grade partial tear involving approximately 50-75% of the tendon thickness at the carpal passage.

Associated tendon thickening with partial distractive tear of the extensor pollicis brevis tendon at the distal third of the forearm, with mild fluid collection near the myotendinous junction.

No further carpal tenosynovitis.

Median nerve within normal limits.

Mild rhizarthrosis with periarticular calcifications.
