Driver side mirror mount pushed ~1cm into car after accident/replacement. Any ideas?

My parked i3 recently got sideswiped in a hit and run 😞. The mirror was destroyed, so I ordered a replacement on eBay and replaced it myself. However after completing the installation, I noticed that mounting structure that the mirror sits on has been pushed into the car by ~1cm. The mirror is functioning correctly, but this means that there is now an exposed gap that is normally covered by a seal, which will allow water into the door.

Does anyone happen to know if there is any way to correct this? Is this something that’s adjustable, or was whatever structure the mirror mounts too likely bent/dented? How bad is having a gap that allows water ingress into the door? For now I’ve just covered it with electrical tape but I’m not sure what to do for a permanent fix.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

Anyone have experience with replacing a damaged charging port?

I have a 2019 REX. I also have a MB sprinter camper van conversion with a large amount of solar/battery storage. When I’m not using the van, the solar energy it produces would otherwise just be wasted, so I will often plug the i3 into the van to slowly charge it using this “free” electricity.

Unfortunately, yesterday my wife didn’t realize the car was plugged into the van, and tried to drive off in the van while the two were still connected. The charging cable was violently ripped out of the i3 and the port was damaged. I can no longer plug a charger into it.

I know this is a pretty unusual situation; since the car doesn’t allow you drive away while it’s still plugged in I can’t imagine many have had this happen before. That said, does anyone have experience replacing a damaged charging port? I’m normally down to tackle car projects, but working with the cars HV system is definitely intimidating I have a couple of appointments at the dealer and with a local EV shop, so I’ll be getting quotes as well.
