i usually do laundry on sunday evenings at the shared laundromat in my building basement. Last night i waited for a washer to finish then started unloading my stuff when this woman rushed over saying she had just emptied it and it was still hers for the next load. She hadnt left anything in it or put money in.

She stood there with her basket and started lecturing me about how people who live here should know the unwritten rules and respect those who do laundry more often. Other machines were running but she wanted that specific one. i just moved to another but she kept muttering the whole time. it was only 20 minutes of my evening wasted but the entitlement threw me off. do people really claim empty machines like that or am i missing something?

ive seen a lot of ads claiming these emf blocking phone cases reduce radiation exposure significantly. they show test results and everything. is there any real science behind it or is it bullshit?

hey. my current setup is a ryzen 5 3600, rtx 3070, 32gb ram and its still decent at 1440p but i notice it struggling more in newer games especially when i try to stream at the same time. im thinking about a bigger upgrade this summer, probably ryzen 7 7700 or 9700x with a 4070 ti super or 5080 if prices drop.

budget around 1200-1500 usd keeping the case, psu and some storage. mainly want smoother 1440p high refresh and better encoding for streams. is it worth jumping to AM5 now or should i just swap the gpu and call it? any motherboard or ram recs if i go new platform? thanks for the input.

Weve been talking every day and it feels so strong but now with only a few weeks left until i fly out im getting major anxiety. What if the spark isnt the same in person or we dont click like we do on calls? Hes been super reassuring but my brain wont stop spiraling.

im 27 and live alone in an apartment complex. my neighbors dog is always barking and one evening it got out when i was coming home. instead of catching it and knocking on their door i just went inside and pretended i didnt see anything. they spent hours looking for him that night.

he was fine in the end but i still lied when they asked if i saw anything. now every time i hear them in the hallway or see the dog i feel this heavy shame in my chest. i cant believe i was that selfish. its been eating at me for days and i dont know how to move past it.

hey guys. built my first pc about 2 years ago with an i5 12400f, rtx 4060, 16gb ddr4 ram and its been great for editing videos and gaming. lately though its been feeling sluggish, apps take longer to open and ive had a couple random crashes in chrome and games. nothing dramatic but its getting annoying.

i already ran malware scans, updated drivers and windows, and checked disk health with crystaldisk. temps look normal too. could it be the ram or ssd starting to fail? or maybe just needs a clean windows install? any ideas what to try next would be awesome, thanks.
