Friend of 6 years has time for everyone but me.

My long time friend who I have a matching tattoo with hasn't spoken to me for months as I've not chosen to initiate it. Even when she did speak to me, it was brief and always excuses why she can't talk more but she loves me and misses me so much and can't wait to meet up and do something again. When I have ideas of doing something or something comes up I wanna do with her she always has a reason why she can't do it. She's ill, she's on her period, she has no money. If I look at her socials she's always going out with other people drinking and going out for food but has no time for me. Known her for 6 years and she helped me through the death of my mother. I tell her how much I miss and appreciate her existence and she tells me the same and then when I say, can we meet up, it's always, "Aw I'm sick right now. Maybe next month." Next month comes, "I'm on my period and basically bed bound, I'll let you know when I'm okay." Never get a text. It was always me who checked in. Now I don't because it just leaves me sad and kills my self esteem trying to get anything out of her. I feel like I care more than she does. I have confronted her about why she never bothers to check in and she said I was selfish so I apologised to her and don't mention it again. She also went through a phase of boasting about her other friends and sending me all these photos of them out together and I felt like, is this rubbing it in my face. She has time for everyone but me even with our long and intense history. It hurts so much. I have autism so really struggle to understand intensions and why people do things. I've met a wonderful person at work who has been a brilliant friend to me and I've just really put effort into showing the appreciation and love to her she deserves. I'm going through a chronic illness progressing and struggle at work sometimes, she's always there for me even though she has other friends I haven't met, a boy friend, close sister etc. She has time for me. So I always show love and offer my time to her, isn't that friendship? We get on so well and have respect, love and most importantly time for each other. That's what I think is a valuable relationship. I've never been good with people due to autism and ADHD, never understood them so I just want genuine advice here. Is this person worth my time or am I selfish and over reacting? Is my friend from work a proper friendship and how friends should behave?

Dihydrocodeine?

I'm on codeine for my pain. It has been a significant amount of years now. I went to A&E during a flare and bro gave me dihydrocodeine. I went to work next day, couldn't touch my foot to the ground it was so sensitive and so painful. Took some dihdrocodeine and I felt no pain, I could walk around normally after that. It lasted for around 8 hours also where I just felt normal. Is it worth asking my GP to swap me from the codeine to dihydrocodeine? Codeine does nada now, well, it is better than nothing. I'm probably just destroying my liver with the codeine to no benefit now. Should I ask them or am I gonna look like a drug seeker?

Throws cookies everywhere.

Hello there. I work in a care home, cleaner, we obviously still have a lot of contact and close relationship with the residents. There's one resident where he just breaks cookies up and throws them all over, bedside table, floor, bed. He also chews them up and then spits them out everywhere, particularly gross and hard to get out of the carpet. It's not like he doesn't like them though. He will steal them from other residents and is always walking around munching a cookie. I'd love to know why he does this. He does a lot of other peculiar things but this is the most baffling to me. I feel awful throwing away perfectly good cookies but I have to as they've touched other surfaces and are most likely contaminated and it isn't safe for me to leave them for him to eat once they've left that packet. Just asking if anyone has any ideas why he does this. Is there an alternative? Is there another meaning to this action? Or is it just a nonsensical dementia thing?

Doctor told me my pain is 'psychosomatic'...

I went to A&E because I was in such intense pain. It feels like someone has set me on fire and just expects me to get on with things and continue to walk and function. Got in to the doctor and he said, "Your blood tests are clear. You suffer from anxiety and depression right? This is psychosomatic." And I just lost my mind and started breaking down and screaming, this isn't in my head at him. He started rubbing my back and saying, "Calm down. Calm down." And it was so patronising. He asked if I drink or smoke. I said no, he called me, "Good girl." I was so incredibly uncomfortable as well as being in agonising pain. He just dismissed me home and I left just wanting to throw myself in front of a car. Why can doctors do this to people? My dad was fuming, absolutely furious but what is there to do? Just feel totally stuck and confused. On top of this I've just been rejected disability payment because they think I don't have problems with things, on the letter it says, "I don't think you have problems at work." "I don't think you have problems driving." When in reality I'm in pain at work every day and sometimes I can't drive because of the severe pain. I'm appealing and starting the process to go to tribunal. I just feel so down right now and ignored and like I don't matter.

Edit: Thanks everyone for the replies. I've read them all. I appreciate the support. It has given me the lift I needed. Thanks so much.

Anyone on painkillers and muscle relaxers?

I'm on painkillers. I want muscle relaxers, dear GOD I want them but my research tells me it's not a good idea to mix those two meds. Just wanna see if anyone else is on that combination and how is it for you?

I'm on co-codamol and from England. Just for clarification.
