FYI I know this scene exists in the anime but I’ve never watched it so I don’t know the background.
They don’t look much different from the times before “dynamic” was added
The finals best-of-three match of the 31st LG Cup has been decided to be between Shin Minjun 9p from Korea and Wang Xinghao 9p from China. Shin won against Yang Kaiwen 9p from China, while Wang won against World No. 1 Shin Jinseo 9p from Korea in the semi-finals.
Shin Minjun also won the previous LG Cup against Ichiriki Ryo 9p from Japan, but nobody has ever won the LG Cup twice in a row.
Will Shin be able to break the curse of the LG Cup and win it again? Or will Wang Xinghao add another world major title to his name? What are your predictions for the final score? Make your poll here.
The finals best-of-three will start on 14th June 2026. Watch out for my announcements when the games start.
Wore stealth for many generations but finally switched to another colour! Brushed silver looks nicer than the normal silver, though I guess now I need to be more mindful of scratches. Can’t get used to the new dimple in the Gen 5 ring though. Not sure why they changed it to that way instead of a groove.
For those who don’t know, a confession booth in chess is a private corner where the player goes in the middle of the game to talk about their thoughts on the game to a camera, i.e. the viewers. It’s completely voluntary, but even top players like Magnus Carlson and Hikaru Nakamura use it frequently.
While personally I’d rather spend my time thinking about the game than expressing my thoughts on it to a camera, it may be entertaining for the viewers to hear what the top pros are thinking during the game.
Do you think this would work out for Go?
